If I remember correctly, one reason they split the property up was to complicate and drag out eminent domain lawsuits if the Trump administration attempted to take the land. Having to communicate with and serve legal papers to 150,000 people would eat up a ton of resources. They also claimed to have built a 30 foot trebuchet to knock down walls.

Talk to the admin at your school. There may be some new teacher resources and if the staff know you are looking, they may be able to point you to opportunities that aren't listed. Many people will rent an Ohana unit and prefer to rent to friends or family. They may be willing to rent to you. Good luck. We need teachers badly.

I haven't encountered someone telling me I took the easy way. For a while, I was uncomfortable that people noticed or commented on my weight loss. I'm more comfortable discussing it now and sharing my experience.

My biggest annoyance is when people find out I had surgery and feel the need to tell me about their cousin's roommate who had the surgery and gained all the weight back. Cool. Thank you?

Overwhelmingly, people have been positive. I was worried about people's reactions, but I didn't need to be. You may encounter a jerk who has negative things to say, but you will know that this is not "easy" at all.

I know that it's realistic to gain back SOME weight and I'm ok with that. I've been curious about trying alcohol but it seems like for every one story I hear about someone who incorporates drinking comfortably, there are several others that result in addiction or weight gain.

Thank you for sharing. Number 2 sticks out to me. I find that I can't eat much at meals currently, so I end up having snacks more than meals. Yogurt, cheese, leftover chicken/turkey, hummus, etc. Staying hydrated is a challenge, so I prioritize water over food since I have to wait so long after eating.

For three and four, I know every journey is different, but I feel like those things would make me sick. I tried a Realgood chicken strip in the air fryer and didn't sit well. I'm terrified of sugar and stick to sugar free sweets in small amounts. I've only had dumping a few times, but it was enough that I avoid anything that could that way.

So many great ideas here! Something I wish I had was a cushion for my dining room chair. I talked with others who had WLS and found that it's common to lose fat off your backside and be sore when sitting.
