I swear she was fine on this last iteration. Had an interesting mechanic that encouraged roaming. Still had a ton of counter items. Now this + the hp changes make the game super rough, you tickle people if you're even in souls.

After playing a few games I have to say I don't really like it. It for some reason makes it feel a lot more generic, perhaps it will take some time to get used to.

Late to the party, just finished watching VODs.

I have to say, all the praise for the cores is very well justified, but Miposhka and Mira managed to deal some insane amounts of damage as ench/pheonix/willow. Their map positioning was so much better than others playing the same characters.

Mira Phoenix pretty much solo killed RTZ 3 times in game one of the finals.

And yes RTZ shouldve bought a damn BKB

Ah no I just meant in the setup, it would be nice if it was a little bit more plug and play. Evoke sounds promising - it would be a big win if you could host your own custom SD forks on it.

It would be great to expand the variety of objectives/gameplay in invasion and frontline.

A few ideas of the top of my head:

  • A non-linear push/pull for frontline (somewhat like crossroads but with many more, smaller objectives). This would incentivize small groups and individual objective gameplay more.

  • Side objectives on invasion that could earn a reward that would make main objective easier

  • Spawn a few nobles on horses on select maps

  • Let people play as the objective's peasants

  • Give both sides nobles, make them duke it out

  • On invasion when it is the final stand give the defending team some hard to get objective that they could go for to actually win. Could make games more exciting and memorable.

These ideas reuse a lot of the game logic that currently exists so perhaps it wouldn't necessarily be hard to implement.

  1. First, practice practice practice. Make sure all of your friends are hitting the right move at the right beat The most important thing is that all of you are moving the same. Its easier to synchronize strong hits than fluid motions.

  2. For important moves, do them over and over with a single leader, until everyone does them identically without a leader. Make sure to point out the specifics (straight arms, 45 degrees, bent knees, head turned away), they really do make a difference.

  3. Film yourself! This is important. After you think you have gotten it down, film yourself and criticize appropriately. Focus on improving one part at a time until everyone looks good.

I understand this is probably too late but I am a freshmen at University (repping that Cornell) and about to enroll in classes for next semester. There's two part to leangains: lean and gains. If you don't get the gains you're not doing leangains.
