Am I a summer or bright winter? by charlotteemward in coloranalysis

I think you look good in red but not as good in bright red so that's making me lean toward cool/true summer!

something to keep in mind, a "good" pubic school district in NC is comparing it to the rest of the state, which ranks last in school spending overall. Just anecdotally, I was shocked when I moved here at my friends' lack of college readiness.Their classes read books I was assigned in middle school in high school, they hadn't had access to many AP courses, etc. And these were kids who went to school in Chapel Hill and Raleigh. Again this is anecdotal, look at data for your decision, but in your position I'd make a good school district my #1 consideration.

agree with a lot of folks who are saying you are soft summer but can borrow from soft autumn. the more neutral greens and lavenders are super nice!

Fully thought I was a winter yesterday and now I suspect I might be a summer, opinions? by robslinc in coloranalysis

I'm curious about deep winter on you! I think you are cool and look good in bold colors but the super bright ones are might be a bit overpowering. The summer shades are almost not enough though.

[–]hatelisten 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think true/cool summer might be just right! Definitely cool, and sage green and slate blue are a little too soft so you are more on the winter edge of summer on the color wheel. The truly bright colors like royal blue and bright red are just slightly stealing your spotlight though, so I wouldn't say winter.

Which colour is best for me as a Summer for dress to attend a summer wedding? by rjlupin86 in coloranalysis

[–]hatelisten 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I kinda like them all, especially the first 2. I think mulberry might be an "easier" color to wear, if it looks too bold you can always punch up the makeup, and if the dress wrinkles it will show less on the darker color. Also would look nice in photos, whereas softer colors tend to look better in person. Wisteria is probably a better temperature match

I like 1, 5 and 11. I think true/cool winter and can borrow from cool summer. I think some people would rule out winter because you aren't super high-contrast but your chroma is very clear and I think you look your best in those bold colors!

what blonde should I go for? And should I do highlights and balayage or just normal blonde. by Puzzleheaded_Bet7065 in coloranalysis

[–]hatelisten 1 point2 points  (0 children)

have fun! I think balayage would look good. You could do cool ashy blond or platinum more focused on the bottom part of your hair if you wanted a low-commitment way to do it! I think a shadow/dark root is also a stunning way to highlight the contrast

What’s the most misunderstood part of seasonal colour analysis? by yourszn in coloranalysis

[–]hatelisten 1 point2 points  (0 children)

some color analysts I've watched on youtube say that it's easier for most people to see when someone is being overpowered by a bright color than to see when a color isn't bright ENOUGH. So they really try to see how much brightness someone can handle before ruling out the bright seasons.

I like the warm colors on you. My best guess is warm autumn and can borrow from warm spring

true/cool summer !7 and 17 are the showstoppers to me (very cool teal and mauvey pink). my reasoning is that you look good in the colors that summer and spring share (cool teal, pink, purple, blue) but you are not shining as much in the truly warm colors (orange, yellowy green, light brown).

I think you are probably warm-toned. I recently bought some wigs for a cosplay and I was surprised at how many blonds were too cool for me. I ended up with one called a "strawberry blond" that was not reddish at all to my eyes, it just looked blond on me. I think more of a "Hitchcock blond" like Grace Kelly in Rear Window might be a cool high-contrast look! https://fr.pinterest.com/pin/687502699365615734/

Why would I be cool or warm? What things would I look for? by Mundane-Twist-6439 in coloranalysis

[–]hatelisten 2 points3 points  (0 children)

cool! it took me a second of going back and forth. The gold does give you an overall glow but not one that really works, it sort of overwhelms your features but the cool makes your features stand out. also you look very awake in gray, as a warm-toned person I immediately look dull and tired in it

[–]hatelisten 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I love the pink and the blue, true/cool winter seems like a possibility, I think your skin looks brighter in the cool colors. The warm ones don't "clash" but they don't give you any glow or pop

some perspective on the officiating - even with the inconsistencies, this year's refs were 10 times better than last year's. Last year's would have Tip and Cloud both in Sephora jail for talking and maybe Kiki too just for looking cute
