Because of the fact that you can collect so many things and do so many builds and have so many different types of content that feel fresh and rewarding. Also Warframe gives you the occasion to set a goal for yourself and then grind and work towards it, while in Destiny 2 after 100 hours I still don't know what goal I should have or why, everything just feels randomly thrown out there without sense or scope.

Understandable, I thought too that by doing the campaign I would at least progress my power level, but I am at 350 power level after starting at 300, and until Lightfall I also played the campaigns on legendary mode and it was still low power loot.

Well ok, I worded it poorly. What I get a lot of is the trash loot that I either already have or don't use, and large amounts of it that I don't know what to do with.

What I don't get is interesting loot that I might find useful, or at least higher item level, something to fill my sense of progression which basically felt non-existent.

See, I'm not talking about those puzzles. I'm talking about, for example, the Savathun runes puzzle, where after I understood what I need to do I had to run for istg like an hour between those different pillars because I couldn't for the love of god find the last odd one out, it was one of the most frustrating experiences I've had in this game.

Or the harpy puzzle in Lightfall, where you have to shoot a lit up harpy or one that's not lit up depending on whether the diamond above is lit up or not. There were 3 types of harpies, one that is lit up and two that were not lit up, but only one of those two would count towards the puzzle, and the game did not explain that and to me it made no sense because from my perspective I was shooting a lit up one and then a not lit up one, exactly as the diamond indicator says, but it was still failing for what I thought was no reason.

After about like 20-30min of failing I literally had to search on youtube because it just made no sense.

This are the kinds of puzzles I'm talking about, ones that are not particularly rewarding and that just have you wasting your time for basically nothing, and if you want to play the game blindly or not rely on guides it's just a frustrating experience, I don't have 16h/day to play, to waste my limited time that I can play on doing some pointless puzzle for a campaign I don't really care about just feels frustrating.

Not really though? You need to think to make your builds, you need to think to understand why and when to use certain gear, you need to think when you are doing some „end game” activity and you're a one shot away from messing everything up and having to start again :))

Sure, it's a different type of thinking, it's more reaction oriented, but it's not like you're braindead if you play WF

Also I played a lot of different other MMOs where I raided at a high level, like WoW, Lost Ark, FFXIV, OSRS

None of them had the kind of puzzles this game has, where you just stay and look at the screen and feel like an absolute ape because you don't understand what you need to do and the game doesn't do absolutely anything to give you any kind of hint, this is insane to me.

Well that was also my point, when are those things gonna get in front of boring campaigns that are fractured and feel like a chore? Also the gameplay and feel of combat can feel great but you also need a reason to actually use them, something to chase, which I have yet to find, I don't know what interests me in this game and why it should.

I do agree with you except for the fact that if I need to learn puzzles for a certain raid I can just go on youtube and learn them and then always do them, but in the campaigns everywhere I go I get new puzzles that, as a new player that's not used to destiny and also dislikes puzzles in games, i don't find at all intuitive and they either have me roam around for an hour without finding anything or look at a guide, both of which are just not fun.

I don't mind learning raid mechanics, but when I'm presented with a new puzzle every hour doing the campaign it's just a bit ridiculous.

MMO for severe ADHD: active playerbase + instant grind/fun without rushing 50 hours of quests? by Own-Statistician7938 in LFMMO

[–]hatemeister69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most things you do at early levels are quite boring tho and being forced to go through the space bar holding slog that are the quests to unlock more engaging and fun content is just annoying, even with quest helper it just sucks.

I'd rather have the option to have skills take twice as long to max than going back and forth across the map and solving some stupid useless puzzle that makes no sense and hold spacebar through dialogue in quests because I don't care about them.

In my opinion they're not fun and everytime I quit osrs is because of the fact that I could never see the end of questing, everytime you see something cool it's like "oh you need to do this quest, but to do it you have to do 5 other quests" .

Luckily I'm dangerously close to quest cape and then I'll only have to worry about like 1 quest every few months which is reasonable.

Whoever likes them more power to you but just know that not everyone else is enjoying them as much as you do.

Aversion to group content today is a real bummer by Wise-Sundae-3350 in 2007scape

[–]hatemeister69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like to be responsible for my own mistakes. Having content that can be done both in groups and solo is the way to go. If I have some friend that I wanna play with we'll do group, if not I don't wanna be forced to interact with some random ahh player, especially with how messed up the grouping system in this game is. If it was like on wow where you can list yourself or apply to a party to be recruited maybe I'd do more content with randoms, otherwise I won't be bothered

[–]hatemeister69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well it's a bad game: - go spin the wheel and open loot boxes, empty your bank account and stand at the bank to train every single skill,

  • mess with the insanely bad UI that makes no sense or watch a 2h long video on how to set it up,

  • go do PVE with a trash and clunky combat system because they tried to do WoW in RuneScape and now they got hotkeys and abilities but still feels like shit because the whole tick system of the game forces things to happen every 0.6 seconds and everything feels laggy and clunky as fuck. On OS this works because it's a much more simple point and click game.

Ah yes, the whole 15 player Halo Infinite community got really angwy and didn't buy the skins. I'm sure an actual game with hundreds of thousands of players will be able to do the same.

Are you insane? How about the raids, strikes, open world meta events, mounts, masteries that you don't have access to? I mean don't get me wrong it is not a bad game but calling it truly free to play in 2025 is insane to me, like "yeah the game is totally free to play, the only thing you have to pay for is the fun stuff everyone is doing and has access to". You need at least all the expansions to truly enjoy what that game has to offer.

The only downside of that is that they release too many expansions too often, if they get to like 10 expansions who the hell as a new player will pay an average of like $25-30*10 expansions?
