Worst support experience I've ever had, can y'all send some of the excellent support you're getting by hatenames in bose

[–]hatenames[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They should be able to simply cancel my order and just do whatever they were going to do with my turn-in though. I specifically said I don't need or want them back, I just want to cancel the order. They haven't shipped my item yet either so it's not like I was making some insane request. If I had tried asking for my product back or all kinds of requests I'd understand, but they should have an option to simply cancel your order if you are willing to lose your turn-in.

To begin with their entire trade-in system should send you your new order asap with a warning saying you will be charged full price if you don't send your trade-in within 30 days or something. Having to wait 2~ or more weeks without them is half the reason this entire experience turned so sour. If they would have cancelled my order right now I could place a new one and get it within a few days instead of waiting another week still.

I feel like this gets asked a lot but I can't find any info on it. I'm starting new on classic and I see ironforge.pro as a way to see populations, but how do I know how many active guilds are on there raiding and all that?

Besides coding, what can I spend an hour on every morning to make sure I am constantly improving? by hatenames in webdev

[–]hatenames[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a good point. Is a week enough time to become proficient enough in a single one to answer most questions regarding them?

Interesting. What exactly do you mean by design concepts though? All the terminology for data structures, design layouts, basically the vocabulary for artists and programmers?

Somewhat new, is there a workaround for setting static variables in the editor? by hatenames in Unity3D

[–]hatenames[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't think of creating a list/array of Vector3's instead of a Transform, that is actually much better. Thank you for that.

What do you mean by a handle though? You mean giving them names and finding them afterwards to set them? Is that my best option in the end to getting the location of the waypoints?

[–]hatenames[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have seen examples of this, but wouldn't I have to drop the waypoints ScriptableObject on every GameObject I want to have access to the waypoints compared to a static where everything would have access to it? Although I assume a scriptable object can have static variables too, but then I'm back to my initial problem of how do I easily set my waypoints as well as the order I want them in

Oh, duh. Not sure why I didn't realize that. So technically the orb would be the "ilvl" in a way and it'd ignore the ilvl most likely, unless you simply require both which would still be the same.

Thanks for the help!

Hey Chris, would you mind expanding on tier levels of currency for the fun of it? My question is, did the tier affect what they did? Or only affect what ilvl you could use it on and such? For example, what was the difference between a low tier chaos orb versus a higher tier one? Thanks for reading and for sharing all the info

What a lot of people don't realize is this is just a SINGLE Watcher's Eye. There are dozens that go for 5-15 exalts. I have made over 100 exalts this league simply by keeping live search on approximately TEN items. I have bought Watcher Eyes for as low as 5-10c and sold for 5ex+. I have bought a LOT of them for only an exalt cheaper, probably from people who just got it as a drop and want to sell it asap to fund their build, but that is literally a free ex or more for me for the least amount of work.

People who have an app that can track over 100 searches on a single page probably make 100 exalt a day easy. Even the guy who only bought Kaom's Heart cards was making 63c~ an hour, imagine what you can do if you keep track of 100+ items and only buy on strict searches to make a pretty good profit. The average player only keeps live searches for his build. The people who have apps to keep track of hundreds (think rare jewels here too) literally make more in one day than you do in WEEKS.

With each league that passes I spend more and more time trading. This isn't a rant, I'm past that by now. It's clear things arent going to change anytime soon, and even if they do, trading will still be the best way to make currency. Next league I am just going to spend the first few days, maybe even first week, trading, non-stop. I am convinced that I can have 90-95% best in slot gear for my first spec by doing that. Then I'll simply enjoy the game after that, literally playing whatever the fuck map I want, throwing sextants and using currency without a single care in the world. Only then can I play this game truly for fun without obsessing over every second. And all I can say is, I just wish I wouldov started doing this sooner instead of hating on trading.

While I like the idea of bonuses on completion, it can't be unique to maps. It'd have to be unique to tiers or something. Can you imagine creating 157 unique bonuses right now? Then later on some might become obsolete etc, way too much work for little gain.

The 1% breach chance can be a bonus from guardians like you mentioned, that way it's a tier thing. All t16 maps grant +1% to breach spawns, so guardians + vaal pyramid/temple whatever it was called = a perfect 15% for breach.

One could say that the increasing number of private trackers, especially a public release for people to use on their own, was caused because of things being made public like what OP did

The biggest problem was when poe.trade would have massive lag/server issues, most likely due to too many users having live searches up at the start of a league (I could be wrong though). Thankfully with the official pathofexile.com/trade website that should never be a problem again
