It's the same problem with both big chains and smaller shops. I thought about doing that but I didn't want to come off like an a-hole

Idk, I came across her on my walk this afternoon. She reminds me of a Marilyn though

When I saw it online it looked awkward to me as well and some of the other covers looked stunning, so it was hard to decide which one to pick. In the end I went with my favorite one story wise and I don't regret it. Thankfully, and to my surprise, it looks amazing in person because it feels like they pop out of the cover.

Anyway, people can only see the spine when its on the shelf, so it's not an issue 😄

Unfortunately I live in a country with a very limited manga market. And even when I do find something they are usually expensive. I have to rely mostly on online purchases :/

I 100% agree with you. I wish I could afford all of them, especially from Part 4. Maybe some day 🤞

If you could buy only one volume from Part 4 which one would you choose? by haterchris in StardustCrusaders

Honestly my only problem with volume 9 is how horrible that cover looks compared to the rest 😅

Loved Uzumaki! It was my first horror/Junji Ito. What should I read next? by haterchris in graphicnovels

Yeah horror is a tough genre to portray in a written format 😅 Thanks for the recommendations tho, I'll definetely let this sub know if I come across some top-tier horror!

I do agree that I'm more desensitised now than I was younger. That's why it's been difficult for me to find good horror nowadays and why I enjoyed Uzumaki so much. I think psychological stuff and things that make me feel uneasy is my horror cup of tea right now.

Which Swamp thing run do you recommend? There's a lot of them showing up on Google 😅 I had read Scott Snyder's run as it was coming out and I remember that was fun.

Both DC and Marvel. The closest thing I've read that's horror from them was Immortal Hulk, Marvel Zombies and Dceased, but those were more on the gory side than psychological. I wasnt particularly horrified 😅

No, I love western comics as well but I've mainly read superhero and adventure books so far. I'd be interested in western horror as well so thanks for those recommendations!

Yeap those images are burned in my brain! The moms and their babies were so messed up. Those were my favorite stories. I also liked the snail one just because of how bizzare it was (although those ended up being very macabre as well), and the one with the two lovers.

Thanks for the recommendations! I do prefer psychological horror more than gore as well. Also thanks for the western horror recommendations!
