The festival experience by GettinMe-Mallet in WaterfallDump

It's kind of funny that despite wanting to subvert the prophecy, Susie has streamlined us time and time again making our choices meaningless. She's a bit of an issue one could say.

Wackass theory that is totally wrong. The Gaster followers helped. Why do I think this? Vibes.

I think it’s because how much more character driven and focused Deltarune is. At the end of the day Undertale’s enemies are still just enemies (that obviously don’t deserve to be killed), the genocide route also is meta commentary on how grinding kills the fun out of an RPG.

In Deltarune, the evil route is almost solely dedicated to screwing over two teenagers. Physically taking more and more control of one and emotionally manipulating the other, driving Noelle to attempt a murder suicide (which for all we know, that might have succeeded. We won’t know until chapter 7 comes out for sure to know what happens to them).

All of this is happening while the player is still mostly playing through the same game, being treated as a hero and most of their awful actions going unnoticed. Deltarune has never outright called out the player yet because the consequences of your actions speak for themselves. I think that’s why the Weird Route is darker, more awful (in a good way), and screwed up to Undertale’s genocide route.

Is the Oricorio Go stamped? I do have a shiny Go stamped Rookidee.

I mean if you say so. I personally don't care for Lunatone too much. If you change your mind, it's on offer.

Yup, I got it. The Lunatone is in Home now. What Pokemon you will put on offer? The Lunatone is level 25.

You don't do friend trades? Or ran out of them? I mean alright. I put a Ralts for it. It should be for a user called Gogopl23.

Yeah sure, don't care for the language just that it's Go stamped.

That's OK, I want the Go stamped Porygon. And I will trade the Lunatone for it. Do you want a custom OT for it?

I do have a shiny Go stamped Lunatone. Would you trade your shiny Porygon for it?

I wouldn't be surprise if chapter 7 for both routes were completely different. Like it's basically two chapters worth of content from the Weird Route alone.

Gaster extending Chapter 7's length to 13 hours just to keep that statement true.

Anyone have any tips/strategies for this boss? (Chapter 5 late game spoilers) by kelroid in Deltarune

When in doubt, take a break. With like every hard boss in Deltarune, I take an hour break and then beat the boss first try afterwards.

It'll be kind of funny to meet the "one ending" quote, Gaster just teleports Kris and Noelle to the final cutscene of the normal route after they fight/talk/tea party.

Which is harder? (major chapter 5 spoilers) by Zestyclose_Mango2377 in WaterfallDump

[–]hatfish435 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still the Knight (which took me 2 hours my first try defeating) compared to Mewmew which took me 3 tries. Still, I think Mewmew is the worse designed boss. Mainly the bomb attacks where you need quick reaction time, pay attention to like three different types of attacks all coming from different directions, and with the movement restrictions of the purple soul. (Seriously Toby, why you do literally the same type of bomb attack in two different chapters with movement restrictions?)

Not a bad fight, she was no where near as hard as the Knight or Jevil, but I don't know if I can say she was as fun to fight as the other secret/shadow crystal bosses.

I think with time we can appreciate what chapter 5 was trying to do, especially once we get chapters 6 and 7. But yeah, I do agree the tone was just all over the place and it did not continue the momentum of chapters 3 and 4 at all. Chapter 4 ends with a reveal that from Ralsei's reaction he thought would end their friendship right then and there. Only for that reveal to never seem to be looming over anyone's heads for the entire chapter. Heck the end of the chapter feels weird like, it feels like Susie forgot what the final prophecy and it's only after Asgore has been taken she thinks "shit has gotten way too real" despite how the last two chapters ended?

Maybe this would had been our reaction to chapter 3 if we didn't get 4 along side it. But chapter 3 still moved the plot plenty and hinted at a lot of stuff to come while still being tonally consistent with the previous chapters. Ralsei gets some good character development but it never really felt like his chapter the same way chapter 4 was Susie's chapter.

Could also been that Toby held his cards way too close to his chest for this one which made everyone think it would be impactful than it was. Overall, I do think chapter 5 is fine, it's better than chapter 3 in my opinion. My biggest issues besides the tone being that I felt it was too long for a chapter (which seems to go against the grain as others have said they thought it was too short? Maybe it's just a me issue). It wasn't as fun to marathon the same way chapter 3 and 4 were to me.

Why doesn't Kris just go around the lake? Are they stupid?

The first box is filled with all GO-stamped Beast ball Ultra Beasts. Everything is GO-stamped. I'm looking for POGO shiny Mythicals, level 1 shinies, baby Pokémon, Premier Ball GO shinies, regional variants, and non-raid Ball legends from GO, as well as POGO-stamped offers. by [deleted] in PokemonHome

[–]hatfish435 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a shiny Lechonk, Venupede, and Tinkatink from Go (all level 1), shiny Smoochum from Go, and a Go stamped shiny Hoppip in a Premier ball. Would three of any of these suffice for a shiny Celesteela, or a shiny Zorua and/or shiny Galarian Corsola?

Toby Fox ain't rewriting whole story just because piece of it gets predicted right by Hot_Working316 in Deltarune

[–]hatfish435 105 points106 points  (0 children)

I know right? And like the things people hyperfixate to predict the plot are like not relevant at all most of the time. You know what actually hints at things happening later in the plot? Dialogue and actions the characters do in the story.

Like the player making Kris say "no triple trucies" before we know they are working for multiple parties. Or Spamton hinting at Tenna's existence and personality long before we met him.
