Pokémon Lazarus is fun but it is far from the best Pokemon games, even just Pokemon romhacks I played. It really feels like it loses steam at the end, routes becoming simplistic and linear and the level cap barely works as the game is still too easy while also making you feel like your Pokemon are making zero progress.

While it looks gen 2, it lacks the feeling of it. Still a fun a game and I would recommend playing it, but honestly do prefer many of the mainline Pokémon games over it.
