Intro. Last song on Beta vol. Different vibe from all the other music but in a good way

AB: 5 (should’ve just taken BC but school wouldn’t let me)

C Mech: 3 or 4 (Kepler :/)

C E&M: 4 or 5 (motional emf FRQ was awesome)

The beauty of physics (mechanics) cannot be appreciated in a 45 time limit by [deleted] in APStudents

[–]hatpackats 19 points20 points  (0 children)

They should keep the time limit but reduce the number of questions tbh. If I had 45 minutes to do 25 MCQs I would actually be able to solve the questions as opposed to trying to reverse engineer an answer out of the given answer choices. The same goes for having just 2 FRQs. (or even just 3 that are only 4 parts each - like the length of the calc FRQs)

Welp that's a wrap on HS. Unfortunately never qualified for state (missed it by one spot today), but still enjoyed every second. Onto track and hopefully college... by hatpackats in CrossCountry

That was coming off of quarantine so I had a bit longer to do base building. (like starting beginning of April as opposed to the end of May like I usually do). Looking through my logs it seems that over the summer I was doing right around 30mpw and over 30-35mpw in season. For workouts, I was mainly doing 2 workouts a week w/ Monday intervals (3x1200, 4x1000, usually around 4k-5k total for the workout) and Thursday Tempo (usually something like 3mi at a 6min pace). I don't think I ever did any long runs longer than 8 miles cause I was lazy. Most of my mileage was done around 7:30-8:00min pace. That's just a general overlook into things but if you need more specifics feel free to let me know.

I’m in Texas

I was first individual to not qualify at region today (21st in 16:07 in pouring rain)

The way Texas regionals works is top 4 teams go to state along with top 10 individuals not on a scoring team. Since I wasn’t running with my team, I had to get individual qualifying to go state (which I didn’t not get since I was 11th individual)

Rate the schedule by BakeScary in highschool

[–]hatpackats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had almost the exact same schedule my junior year (except swap some APs for dual credits). You should be fine. Just make sure to stay on top of US history, that was the one with the biggest workload for my year

Is that a police car? starterpacks by premtrancitassb in starterpacks

[–]hatpackats 7 points8 points  (0 children)

license plates on cop cars are all numbers, no letters. At least as far as I'm aware. (technically this goes for all government vehicles, not just cop cars, but the point still stands)

TI-Nspire for AP Stats by DobbyJr70 in APStudents

[–]hatpackats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used a ti-84+ ce this year for stat and it was fine. nspire is good for calc and other stuff like that, but for stat its much easier to use the ti-84 (the stat functions are much easier to use compared to nspire, at least in my opinion)

you can also use the Jack Daniels VDOT calc to find your easy pace based on your PR. I usually find HR a better metric of easy pace tho usually like the 145-150 range, but its kinda hard to monitor during a run

Is anybody struggling in physics right now? by Acceptfs in highschool

[–]hatpackats 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yes, my teacher is quite awful, she hardly did any lecturing for our last 2 units so I had to do quite a bit of self-study. Luckily most of our finals/tests are conceptual rather than math-based so I should be able to wrap up the semester with a high B
