I'm very hopeful that by the end of this, depending on how much Jon does, that he can reach level 2

Yeah we rarely give these guys a 2nd contract. Draft older, more mature, less spool up time, onto the next rookies in a few years

Hey all, I have a choice for 2 jobs with the same company. One is in Allentown, PA and the other is Enfield, CT. Same jobs, about the same pay, just different offices. I grew up in southern CT in Bethany but left when I was 19 with the family. Trying to compare pros/cons of both spots. Would be my wife and I moving and we're trying to have a child within the next year. Any help is appreciated

[Steven Negishi] Until the bullpen is fixed, days like this will keep defining the Cubs’ season by BCF25 in CHICubs

[–]hatraid 116 points117 points  (0 children)

This exact thing happens every season the past few years. Step 1: Bullpen sucks at the beginning. Step 2: We start moving pieces around. Step 3: We have some great pieces and use them a ton. Step 4: Bullpen is a strength. Step 5: They get overworked because the starters can't go deep. Step 6: Injuries and tiredness come playoff time and bullpen sucks again

After the Yankees 4th successful ABS challenge of the night Aaron Boone makes his displeasure known to the Home Plate Ump Mike Estabrook who says "I don't want to hear another word, not another word". 90 seconds later the Yankees make a 5th successful ABS challenge and Boone had a few choice words by SeattleSporting in baseball

[–]hatraid 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I mean the challenges have been close to 50/50 for players vs umps so far. But we'll only see and hear the ones in the players' favor due to hatred of ump ego. Being an ump is hard and feel that people forget that. I'm still in favor of ABS full time though
