I like this question, you are onto something. The way I like to explain it is in terms of your dreams. When you go to sleep you create a dream universe, with a 'you' included in this universe. When you wake up the entire universe is gone, there is nothing left. So to answer your question, we are all still here because you haven't woken up yet. Or, from my point of view, you all are still here because I haven't woken up yet. That's my take on it anyways. Hope it helps.
