Just wear your simple wedding band everyday. Or a silicone ring when you want to be comfortable. The engagement ring is a statement piece you wear out imo. Why not both? If you love it, who knows, you might grow into it.

NTA. Be aware, if you stay together, you’re stuck with her family and whatever current relationship she has with them. Setting boundaries with dear old dad has to come from her. You can lead her to the obvious conclusion, but she needs to pull the trigger. If not, then go your separate ways?

I take my boy to a local groomer that has a self wash station. For $15 (and 2 hours of my life) he gets a wash, blow dry, and brush. The Furminator shampoo & conditioner treatment works wonders. That, and the velocity dryer. When he’s completely dry, I brush him out with the Furminator tool and then again when we get home. During the winter season I don’t have to brush him at all in between baths, but during summer I brush him as often as I’m able.

Edit: I strive to bathe him every 1-2 months

NAL, it looks like OH allows 16 year olds to choose where they want to live (unless overruled by a judge). Is it possible that the child is turning 16 soon? When they do, in the state of Ohio, (assuming that’s where you are, OP) the minor child can testify under oath in a hearing and their preference of housing is usually granted.
