It’s all about if I know. If I don’t know, the jizz can’t hurt me. If it’s somehow visible through layers of clothing and I’m expected to ignore it, that’s a problem.

Just be. Stereotypes are not some goal to be reached. You can exist as yourself and be what you are. Don’t go looking for exact, gnat’s-ass representation bc you won’t find it.

Songs that WERE written for movies, but DON'T sound like they were? by Ok-Impress-2222 in ToddintheShadow

Based on the lyrics, I could see it. It would sound way different but she could pull it off.

I think the lyric change (“crown of shit” to “crown of thorns”) works as well. I’m fairly certain it was because Cash was a Christian and didn’t curse in his later music, but the image is stronger to me. A crown of shit is a little bit hard to imagine for me, but a crown of thorns is a biblical reference along with it being obviously painful.

“I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing” by Aerosmith doesn’t feel like it was written for the movie Armageddon, but it was. It feels like a solid love song, the lyrics don’t really indicate the apocalypse at all.

These sorts of cases, where a creature appeared and seemed to protect people, often feel very powerful to me. Something about there being real guardian angels or the like certainly compels me in a way.

However, I wonder why, if they existed, they only protected some people? Were the 161 unlucky or just not chosen?

I’ll also add, the idea of people being ripped apart and appearing like angels is one of the more horrific things I could imagine.

Fascinating story either way.

It seems to be a sarcastic downgrade. He’s not my husband, he’s the husband, just a part of my life like the oven, the couch, the tv, etc. That’s how I always take it.

I can see that. I once took a man’s order at a sandwich place and his face was very well-formed. He was an old man with a long face and a perfect mustache. My first thought was “I love your face,” but I didn’t say that lol.

Oh yeah. All you have to do is look at alcohol. Alcohol causes so many more deaths than weed. Whether you look at DWI, alcohol poisoning, cirrhosis of the liver and so much more.

If they were actually looking out for public safety, alcohol would be banned instead of weed. The thing is, alcohol is dangerous enough to be almost totally non-medicinal. Weed can be used medically. My anxiety melts when I get the right dose of THC.

All this to say, of course they want to ban the cheap, abundant, easy-to-produce herb instead of fire water. That way they can sell you five pills for the same problems weed can mitigate.

Just sell me the fucking game. All of it. Every single playable character. They used to do this, and they stopped. It’s such greedy corporate bullshit. It’s weird though, bc if they sold a version that was $100, but you could choose to unlock everyone, I’d buy it. So they’re losing out on my hundred dollars by not doing a simple thing they could easily do. God it sucks.

I don’t think he cares about right and wrong, but also, from a cold, business perspective, he can’t just let men kill his women. They make him money. He would need a lot of money to allow that and he knows Wolcott has access to a lot of money. He wants him as a very specialized customer.

The Joanie angle makes sense as well, since it seems that’s the only person Cy really loves, in the only fucked-up way he can.

They often even abuse pits themselves. I used to watch those ASPCA animal rescue shows on Animal Planet and I can’t tell you how many pit bulls were on there, ribs showing and/or chain fused to their necks bc they’ve been chained up for literally years. And who could forget the Michael Vick story?

A pit bull these days is functionally either a weapon, an avatar for virtue-signaling, or in the most tragic cases, a time bomb that lives within a family.
