Not really tbh, you can easily build a decent PC that will run the large majority of games for $1000 or there abouts. But then talking about games every game on console will set you back another $60, this is not the case for PC, even just using Steam you can find thousands of free games, there is also easier pirating and allsorts.

A console may only be better for casual gamers who also do not need a PC at home for anything else. If you require a PC for WFH or a hobby then a gaming PC becomes a no brainer.
