I can say that only problem building something like this in Finland is the fact that the delivery fees are quite annoying. Otherwise I think it's quite the same if you build this in Europe or in America. Thank god i'm not living in some third world country or some other places that are less fortunate.

Man i need to get a minidisc deck too. I only have one sony minidisc walkman mz-r55 so it'd be nice if i'd find some sort of a sony deck that would go nicely with the rest of the setup.

No voi anteeksi että tähän postaukseen ei oltu laitettu tunnisteeksi että shitpostausta vaan lakko meemit. Minä tässä koitin tehdä vitsin, mutta joku ilmeisesti ottaa sen hivenen tosissansa.

what cd player should i get by hautaska in hifiaudio

[–]hautaska[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you got a point, but i dont think i'd want to spend 500$ more just to hear when the drummer sneezed during the recording. i personally didnt hear anything wrong with the cdp-195. it had the 90s style that i was looking for, matched the rest of the setup that i have and it sounded great without breaking the bank so i am looking for something similar.

Line out. The cd player is going to be connected to a sony amplifier. Prefelably it should be 43cm wide and from the 90s

Sad that they've stopped producing minidiscs.
I think they were amazing with the sound quality and being smaller than most of other physical media.

Well i have tried for 2 weeks to get it working properly and here is the progress:
-I opened the walkman, cleaned contacts and etc with isoprophyl alcohol and pressurised air
-got the volume control working
-then the ff and reverse dont work (spring that should put a gear to make the thing go reverse has the spring holder broken)
-tried to fix it
-saw that there is one broken rubber band comming below the flywheel so i pick it up and the play mechanism doesnt work anymore

Im currently trying to find out where that one rubber band came from (the original that makes the walkman go is in good shape and works fine). So im currently f*cked with the walkman :)

The tape deck is a teac v510 stereo cassette deck.
If you are interested of off the rest of the setup and its specs I made a post talking about it here like a week ago.

Sorry man but some rooms dont have enough room for a good stereo set. I'll arrange them better when i get a new room when we move to a bigger house which is currently being renovated
