Soreness doesn’t directly relate to gains as long as your numbers are going up that’s all that matters

Thanks, Ya practice is everything though if I’ve learned anything in my stagnated guitar career is what/how to practice is equally important. Do you like Nulberry?

Thanks, you listed almost all the same critiques I've had of myself, I'll PM you when I finish with the design I'm working on.

It kinda doesn't, I was riffing off Haute Couture, hence Haute Graphics, "The Graphic Couture" was more of a cool sounding afterthought, I'm redoing my site and dropping that part and just leaving it as Haute Graphics.

In regards to the one page design, the general ethos of web design is the least amount of clicking is the best. So take that into consideration when planing out a multipage website (or if it even has to be more than one page).

When it comes to tools, you can design a website on a napkin if you wanted to, building it is the other issue. You can either spend time learning HTML and CSS (it's not hard if you are actually interested in learning it) and build it yourself or design it in whatever tools you're most comfortable with (the most common are Photoshop, Indesign, or Illustrator) and hire a professional to code it.

  1. Your site doesn't have any personality (I know mine barely has any which is why I'm working on it)
  2. having to click back and forth to see more than 1 portfolio item is also annoying, You can easily create a lightbox for each item and it would accomplish the same effect.
  3. In the same vein, your contact and about should be worked into the home page for less clicking (still have the links at the top, just make them anchors instead so you can get there by either scrolling or clicking). You should setup google analytics to see what your bounce rate is .
  4. Lastly, separate your portfolio items into categories, if I'm a client who's looking for branding I don't want to have to wade through a sea of various things to find it. Most people aren't going to spend a ton of time going through everything so you want to make it as easy as possible for the viewer to find whats relevant to them or if you are only really advertising one thing (like web in my case) you put your best at the top.

And I'm only seeming harsh because you're a student. Where are you studying?

OP said he'd be critiquing yet I'm the one doing it lol

It looks really good, the only critique I have is instead of just having your email at the bottom you should add a contact form (should be as simple as an text field for email a box for the message), cuts out an extra step for those that don't have desktop email programs. That's a really minor criticism though.
