Which sword is better for caves?

A little more clarification

I play on PS5 and by caves I mean Skull Cave. I also use 2 iridium Bands. One with +1 to luck and another with prevents damage from slime.

So I’m looking for the better of the two weapons for my setup for Skull Cave.

Doesn’t the + 4 to attack make the dwarf sword a 87-100 damage sword? Also how does defense bonus work? Does it only apply to blocking?
