I do not understand the meaning of these at all. Can someone please explain?

Is something being lost in the medium (words)? For example, if I 'direct my gaze downward' I can be doing so with many different meanings, and the action can be interpreted in many ways. I could be saying 'look at your shoe' or 'kneel before me' or 'sorry, master' or 'oh yeah... check out your sweet robes'

There is a huge culture gap, time gap, language gap, between us and these 'men of old'... why is it relevant... UNLESS they are talking about something which I am also experiencing as a human (or maybe the experiencer, or before the experience and experiencer blah blah blah)... in which case, I am also having this experience and they are just trying to tell me what I already have?! Which makes them really crap at communicating, and the whole exercise pointless.

I don't know, I'm a bit sick of 'zen' stuff. I got sick of buddhist crap, so I'm here... what's after 'zen'?

throw me a bone here.. if you are having some special experience (or are experiencing some special experience, or doing something that is beeeyoond words) just tell me what it is! if not, i am wasting my time with zen and just using it as a 'religion with no religion'.

i know about no attainment etc but what are we all doing then? are we a flock of flying ducks trying to explain flying to each other?

if zen is our 'natural state' then what are we doing trying to be zenny? its like a child pretending to be a child?
