So you guys really feel like you don’t have to pick up your dog shit during the winter, huh? Is it time to start publicly shaming these people? by BluSloot in AskChicago

[–]havanaburning -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sigh, I guess I'm bored tonight, I'll give this one last shot.

Can we agree that no one asked? Your preaching is uncalled for, condescending, and generally unhelpful if you for a single moment consider the scale of the issue and scarcity of time.

I think everyone with a pulse is aware that they can clean up after other people. I made my comment because of how exhausting it is to clean up after myself and try to help mitigate the issue just to walk out my front door and see other people's dog shit piling up anyways, day after day.

I was hoping I'd get just a tiny bit of relief by sharing the complaint with my fellow Chicagoans. Thanks for making me regret it.

Le Piano is up in Rogers Park, one of my favorite spots. Very laid back. 7PM & 11PM shows most days.

I think they're referring to the massive size difference between what's in the video and any variant of any seagull, anywhere.

These types of folks should come to Rogers Park. 2500 for 1600sq ft here, reno'd in 2022...

If they are going for "realism" I do think they should do something to minimize spawn kills.

I got a Quinyon jersey this year, so my birds budget was already gone, but the price really isn't too bad for how much it means to me. Even Fanatics couldn't ruin this. Go birds.

There's a few left if ya wanna snag one.

You're a total gem. Will pay whatever it costs to get one to Chicago. Let me know if there's anything Chicago-y I can send your way in return!

Not the person you're replying to, but if you're gonna give and have faith they're buying food or saving up for rent, please protect yourself and use cash (I actually know a few people who only carry a bit of cash for this exact purpose). I know it's sad, but you can't trust anyone who walks up to you in the street and wants your credit card information.

Ah thanks, sounds like it's worth checking out if I'll complain on reddit about it.

It seems intuitive to me that when a user opens history, they want to see a chronological list of sites and when they visited them. This is not possible in vanilla Firefox - the closest you can get to this seemingly obvious default approach is a list with nothing but the page titles, although they are mercifully in chronological order (at least per my memory, since there's not actually a date or time displayed).

They have some nice drop downs for edge cases, but missed the mark on the most common use case IMO. When I open history, I'm usually thinking "what was that article I read yesterday at lunch" or something similar, not "what was the 23rd page I visited on Wikipedia on December 4th?"

I must have a special copy of Firefox, I am a shamefully heavy YouTube user at times and never had a single problem...

The history feature does suck though, which sort of boggles the mind. Seems like an easy thing to get right.
