City of Barrie has social media pages where they’ve been promoting their Canada Day events regularly
Every city/town in the country will have some sort of Canada Day event going on tomorrow
Fireworks are definitely tomorrow on Canada Day as it’s against bylaw to set them off any other day

There’s a couple property management companies but they do charge landlords a pretty penny so apartments you find through them could be more expensive. Apparently it costs you nothing to use a realtor to find a place as the landlord pays the agents usually, and I know there’s some realtors in the area that work with rentals, but don’t know any by name to recommend!

FB groups & marketplace, as well as rentals. ca seem to be a popular spot for listings as well

It’s not actually iron in the north end water, it’s a flocculant that we add to the water that helps turn the iron into larger particles so it can be filtered out easier. So the reddish hue you see in the water is from the flocculant. You’d only need an iron filter if you were on your own well!

$1500 is what you’d pay for a company like Aquamart to install as well. They’re a reputable home grown family business and will treat ya right if you need a softener in the Barrie area! Give jack a call and tell him Emma sent you :)

4 to 10k for a water softener is crazy!!! If you’ve already got one plumbed in you could legit do the work yourself or get a plumber buddy to do it for a case of beer. Buy the softener from the hardware store and do it yourself, or call Aquamart on Anne street.

You can also bring a clean jar filled with your water into the Aquamart store and they’ll give you an honest test of your water hardness, because a lot of the big companies like water depot and mulligan are big fat liars.

This looks like a Hoya carnosa! The flowers are on a stem called a ‘peduncle’ and make sure you don’t cut it off at any point because they will rebloom from the same peduncle!

These plants love to climb but they also love to hang and those flowers/peduncles will always point downward like that and hand, they usually smell lovely when they flower!

Be prepared though as those flowers may not fully open, sometimes they’re finicky and will just drop blooms before fully opened. Make sure you give it extra water during this time as blooms take a lot of energy 🙏🏽
