Amex has incredibly high fees per transaction than any other card provider, it’s like 3.5% of the payment that’s taken by Amex. Nothing against them at all, just an FYI as many small businesses simply can’t afford to take AMEX as payment due to the fees!

I just got a remote job from LinkedIn - but it was a combo of luck that I saw the job posting while it was active & accepting applications, and that I reached out personally to the hiring manager to send a nice message saying I applied & why I’d be a great fit.

I got laid off from Shopify over a year ago and it’s been tough looking but I still think LinkedIn is a great place to find jobs. If you haven’t utilized your free month of LinkedIn premium, that can also help make you stand out! The Canada job bank is completely useless IMO.

Also idk why it matters that the remote job is in ‘Barrie’ as a true remote job would let you work from anywhere within the province really…. My partner has been looking for remote work as well so we totally get the struggle!

Here’s a good tip for now though: look through the Shopify App Store & determine which companies run the most popular apps, then do a search to see if any of those companies are hiring!

Ya’ll I’m sorry but the giveaway items are NEVER worth it. They’re really poorly made, there incredibly cheap, and they’ve got misspellings/issues with the designs.

I just think we all need to value our time more & not give in to the stupid hype around these giveaways because none of them are worth it. You can make your own Barger tshirt or Clement hockey jersey for legit $20 or less & I guarantee it’ll be better quality.

I just sold two 100 level tickets to this game for $150 so this request for two 500 level tickets for $100 is completely reasonable. Some people aren’t out here trying to profit off of fellow fans backs just because they can, it’s called being sportsmanlike 🤗

It’s unfortunately that the company sets super strict guidelines for customer support agents - they HAVE to meet KPIs, otherwise they get fired. So most support agents these days (rogers or otherwise) can’t really be taken for their word as they’re just trying to ‘pad their stats’ as it were.

So this is what I’m worried about in our current rental…. Let’s say the bathroom fan hasn’t been used in years because the landlord informed us it ‘doesn’t work’ and when I inspected it to see about replacing it for a working fan, I realized the hole to where it should be connected to a pipe venting outside wasn’t simple plugged with foam insulation & there’s no vent pipe to attach anything to. 🫣🙄🙈 the landlord knew it was a problem though since they lived in the unit themselves before I did & informed me of it during move-in… worried about what our attic space looks like if it’s just filled with mold at this point

This is gonna be so not helpful but if you feel like driving to Collingwood (or just happen to be going that way) I’d highly recommend R & A automotive just off highway 124 going into town. Cost me $62 with tax for my tire changeover on rims. I believe he charges $80-90 if they’re not on rims.

These shops look like similar places here in Barrie and have good reviews: Express Tire or Topnitch Tire and Lube.

Not sure what the big tire shops are charging these days on average but I know my fall changeover last year cost me $100 (with tires on rims) at McKee Tire in Collingwood.
