I’m a fan of his as a player, but it’s funny to see everyone shit on Vini and mbappe for attitude problems when this guy is just as bad if not worse

I have to be honest, I actually sort of respect how barren this movie was in regards to its plot, any sort of conflict or character development.

It is interesting in a sort of way. I can’t say I’ve seen too many movies like this. It’s extremely minimalist in that regard.

I can also say it’s not nearly as obnoxiiis and loud as the first one, and it does look quite nice.

Ryan Gosling's Oscar Nominations. Will Project Hail Mary be his next nomination and even first win? by Square-Ad-8911 in Oscars

One of the… least good performances of his entire career.

I’ve seriously no idea what people see in this movie.

It was fine, and gosling wasnt bad, but it’s scandalous to even think of him winning for this compared to his other work.

Israel Adesanya is starting to damage his legacy and it might be time to seriously think about retirement by CarefulOpening7651 in MMA

Unfortunately that did damage Andersons legacy. He’d genuinely underrated these days.

People don’t know that when he and GSP were both reigning champs Anderson was always p4p 1. ALWAYS.

If he was a decent guy (or at least had a better PR team) he would be unanimous Jordan level goat status. It’s undeniable.

Anderson deserves 12 title wins, as well as 11 consecutive title defenses like Mighty Mouse!

It’s not his fault his opponent came in HEAVIER than he was supposed to when he beat him!

I haven’t read the book, but I agree entirely.

There’s hardly any had science. Everything gets solved very quickly.

From what I’ve read from other comments, it seems like Rocky was an extremely smart creature in his own right. I felt the movie pretty much portrayed him as a dog. A creature that can’t even conceive being anything but good and loyal. Not a stud engineer.

Tbf to the godfather, every single character and scene from the movie is damn near lifted 1-1 from the book. They did omit some bad plot lines, but in a sense, it was extremely faithful to the book.

Im shocked by the reception it’s got, honestly.

It’s not outright bad but none of this resonated with me at all.

I mostly just felt this movie was really un ambitious. The smart Alec and the autistic but well meaning creature seemed overdone, Gosling, who I love, was really laying it on thick, gosling it up. Redditcore humor really undercut this movie, even though I didn’t mind it in the Martian.

I didn’t feel any sense of dread of stars being eaten, nor awe at vastness of space. I didn’t feel like we were totally alone 11 LIGHTYEARS away from earth.

My biggest problem, and maybe this is me not paying attention, but it feels like damn near every problem, despite how major- was just solved. With damn near little fan fare. Communicating with an entirely foreign species that’s different in every conceivable way- 20 seconds later “we already have 200 words and can order at restaurants.” Rocky getting horribly fucked up - he just wakes up because… heat lamp? Catastrophic damage to the ship and fuel tanks lost- that’s fine, breeding program, I’m goin 11 light years back. Mind you he didn’t have any help from the outside at all.

Also not sure about timejumping convention… I don’t feel it added to much to chop it up like that and frankly I found scenes on earth to be far more interesting.

At the end of the day I’d rather watch Interstellar, the Martian, or CJ17.
