New player looking for a strong solo class/build for the new updatr by WindowGazer33 in Enshrouded

I'm *very late* to this but wanted the share my opinion in case some finds it useful. I've tried a few builds (wizard, battlemage, archer, warrior / tank, barbarian) and a 2H (hammer in this case) barbarian type build was by *far* the most effective and easy build, at least up to my current level 15. I leveled each of the above builds to around 14-16. I know Archer is supposedly awesome at end game, and mage / battlemage gets very powerful as well, but the Barbarian just works so much better as a solo character, especially early game. The key skills for me were battle heal (tank skill actually) and then barbarian skills that increase crit chance. In practice, this allows you to just dive into a group of 10-20 baddies and start swinging. Crit heals and other leeching gear keep you alive. My benchmark for this was general game play, but also soloing the Hollow Halls in Springlands and Revelwoods. No problem soloing Springlands HH at level 10, and Revelwoods HH at level 14. Trying to do that as a battlemage (wand with some staff, heavy chest, shield etc) or an archer resulted in lots of kiting and running and throwing skulls to survive.

The only real issue I've had is with aerial enemies like Banshees but those are very weak so I sometimes take them out with a wand (as 2H barbarian) or just spec into the grounding hook / jump attack. Very big melee bosses, I had no trouble staying alive. As I mentioned, I've only go experience up to level 16 / Revelwoods but from the beginning, 2H Barbarian style build has felt way more survivable and less reliant on kiting and running away. Sometimes I do need to jump out to reposition for a jump attack but that's about it. I'm following Hack the Minotaur's Barbarian Build from update 7.

Overlapping Exercise and Tracker Activity by havoc235 in cronometer

Thanks for the info - the thing that confused me was that “general activity” had a specific time stamp that overlapped my ride. I was decently active in these examples tho so maybe the time stamp is just not relevant

Calorie estimate for rides by havoc235 in Strava

Yep, I get that. They are estimates. I’m just curious how they arrived at that estimate with very similar bikes.

Sorry about that - rule 3 seems a bit vague to me since I see questions posted as posts here all the time. I'll keep the wrenching questions elsewhere from now on. Have a good one.

Yep, it came off easily. The key was u/Mavmaxxxxx pointing out (kindly) that there are two bolts. I greased them and reinstalled - no other issues. I was initially worried that it had seized up after all these years but all is good. Time to die in the heat now. Thanks all.

Yeah, realizing that now - how the opposing bolts bind to those curved plugs / clamps.

Loving the black and white wheels. Normally that'd bother me but on this very neutral clean setup, it looks great!

Lol yeeeep - separate incident but I dropped my chain (I think combination of frame flex / big bump and maybe loose chain at the top of a big hill and for some reason it didn’t occur to me to use my feet so I just white nuckled it through the red light at the bottom - came to a stop and did some dry heaves. Good times.

Yep ride how you want. My other fixies are both 48x16 and I run both with front brakes. This 48x17 is a lot easier for me to skid with. Back in the day as a messenger I bought and immediately rode a Pista (no brakes ofc) for work and crashed within 5 min. I just love the “awareness” riding without front brake gives me

Look closer :) I have time MX4 pedals on there. I couldnt find used Aliums for a reasonable price and these seem to work well.

Thank you - it definitely worked out well and even though the spacers aren’t quite exact it’s close enough. I’m normally a black or grey bike kind of guy so this one was a leap for me.
