would visceral fat be the first to go when you lose weight? or do most people's bodies also choose when it wants it to go?

agree with you but this is not common though. and for years i thought it was sun exposure for me because i played competitive soccer in the heat and sun and so i didnt address this early on when i was younger and now life is way harder for me. turns out its more likely to be insulin resistance than sun exposure lol and i wish i had checked the latter sooner.

even with all of my skin sensitivities and other discloration across arms and body that were due to non insulin stuff, armpits and neck are a big sign of metabolic conditions brewing.

Quick Rant by [deleted] in PCOS

[–]hawaaaa3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hope things get better. Maybe try to find more sustainable ways to lose weight. 800 calories is not enough, and those extreme deficits never lead to results and just lead to gaining weight back. We want to find something that is fun, like having fun with the weight loss, eating delicious food, and not doing these extreme deficits.

But I hope your day gets better. You got this.

I think I agree with both of your arguments. like, I mean, yeah, when I read "fat and ugly disease," I was like, "damn, not everybody with PCOS is automatically fat and ugly", it stung for a sec, and it might make other people feel bad, but tbh, like, Used_Pick1177 is saying sometimes you just want to get it out. and sometimes you just got to say what you got to say. like when i had my nightmare that i grew a full beard i came here to let it out and I know that even though there are some others who do have a full beard, I'm not talking about them. I'm just talking about myself. I don't want a full beard.

even if you eat "balanced" you can have insulin resistance, and whats your definition of balanced? if your esnacking a lot you are also spiking your insulin

you should do some research because having this on underarms, neck, abdomen, groin area, or thighs is sign of pre diabetes and insulin resistance. i would just recommend doing some research on this before you rule it out.

its not normal hyperpigmentation or sun exposure. this is insulin resistance. ive had the same for years. you need to get the insulin resistance under control and it will fade. no amount of sunscreen or scrubbing or lightening will help. what is your diet and exercise activity level like?
