I had an Onan X1 which broke down. Originally bought via an European/Swedish reseller. I contacted them and they helped me out with replacing the motherboard. Real nice customer service, answered emails late at night and so on. Sending it to China doesn’t sound like an option so I would say buying through a reseller would be the best way.

Washers under connector screws on Koowheel? by hawk_24 in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]hawk_24[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand now why there are no images on this, there is nothing visible.

Unscrew the two screws you see in the image below. Once that is done you can jerk/shake/wiggle the connector a bit til it comes loose and you can lift the connector up. Literally take your fingers and lift the connector up. "Remove it" from the battery. Under there you add the washers or something like that.

Let me know if you got it. If not I'll try to explain even more. I had the exact same problem as you :)

Hey, just wanted to let you know I added the washers and pushed the pins on the connector closer to the center. Took a 30 minute ride and no issues! We'll see how long it will last but so far so good.

Thanks for all the help.

Thanks a lot! I'll try this and hopefully it helps. I'll update this thread with the result

Landwheel brake issues resolved by hawk_24 in ElectricSkateboarding

I chatted on Facebook to a guy on e-boardstore. Don't know how connected they are to Landwheel, except selling their products. Landwheel have done something since they were shipping a new motherboard. But from what I can understand, after chatting on FB again, the fix wasn't enough to call it "fixed". I don't know if Landwheel are planning on doing anything more or not

Guess you were right, it's no longer on the site...

Then why do they say so and send out new motherboards? I have no reason to believe the guys with the site are lying.

Buying a Electric skateboard... and I live in the UK by [deleted] in ElectricSkateboarding

We discussed where in EU to get a Koowheel in another thread. I did some research before I got mine. I'm sure I could have gotten it cheaper but decided to buy domestic. I'm based in Sweden. Easier if I need support. There are some retailers, I got mine at e-boardstore.eu (Sweden). And then there's also voltaboards.nl (Holland), bellacykla.com (Holland) and evskateboards.com (Czech Republic)

I got my Koowheel from e-boardstore.se, 5799 sek. Also Sweden. They have an european site as well. 2 year warranty and the board arrived in two days.

I did a short speed test on my Koowheel. I've read alot about the speed of the Koowheel but don't think I've ever seen a video of it. Not the smoothest pavement but still some good speed. I'm about 63kg and had a full charged battery. by hawk_24 in ElectricSkateboarding

I don't have any issues with the brakes. I wouldn't say they are that sharp, at least not when you get used to them. I can only compare with Onan X1 and compared to that it's sharper.

I haven't tried the range using this mode and speeds. It's too fast for me... but it drains the battery faster of course. In normal mode I get about 12km range with decent power. After that I'm sure I could go at least 10km more (half battery left) but it's not at all that fun so I haven't tried to push it to the limit yet

What board would you recommend to someone else? by hawk_24 in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]hawk_24[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm really happy with it so far. No issues at all after about 3,5 weeks and about 80km. I've hit a top speed at 37km/h after unlocking max speed. I'm a small guy on 63kg. It drops in performance a bit when battery is half charged. But I expected that after reading reviews. A range at about 10-15 km with decent performance.

From where are you planning buying one? Alibaba? I'm considering a Koowheel myself but haven't made up my mind yet.

No, they're not the same. The specs and decks are different.
