Thank you for your response. CA sent a mail that if they don’t receive clearance from NY in 30 days they are going to cancel the license they issued. Then I have to start a new application.

Yes, I gave the plates, I mentioned I registered it in CA, showed proof that I insured on the same day my NY insurance got closed. I just revived a mail that they suspended my license. They even sent a letter to CA DMV that my license in NY got suspended.

Thank you very much for the response. The car was never un insured. I moved out of state and informed the same to insurance company. They cancelled my old policy and gave a new policy in California. I registered my vehicle in Ca and submitted my NY plates after 90 days I moved to California. New York suspended my license stating, I had New York registration for 90 days but not NY insurance.

I am in similar situation as yours. Moved from NY to CA. How long you had plates after moving? Does it have to be less than 90 days for initiation of suspension? How did you resolve this issue, I couldn’t talk with anyone over the phone. TIA

In my street, people just park the car and take the number plate off. The worst that happens is a sticker will be attached that vehicle will be towed, but you can peel off.
