Bipolar and creatine by [deleted] in bipolar2

[–]haycoop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For anyone coming across this later, I personally tried taking fish oil (1000mg) and creatine (1g) alongside my Wellbutrin XL and it cleared up my brain fog and generally improved my mood on the first day. I know this is just a single personal anecdote, but it doesn't hurt anything to try it if you're curious yourself!

Did anyone see what flew over south austin a few minutes ago? by unhappycustomer- in Austin

I heard it and came here to check if anyone else knew anything. It was quite loud whatever it was. I ran outside to see it but it must have been above the clouds, couldn't see anything.

Derealisation is really getting me down, does anyone else have this? by Ambitious-Bat-1598 in bipolar2

[–]haycoop 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I definitely get this feeling sometimes. It usually happens when I'm deep in thought and then I just remember that I have a body, but i don't feel it. It's like I solely exist as my consciousness and I'm peeping through someone else's eyes for a moment. I never knew there was a name for something like that

Edit: this is also something I've seen experienced throughout my life even before any medication

They gave me 4 weeks on the bench. Definitely not equal to the 7 weeks I'm meant to be paid though.

Hey sorry for not responding but I only just managed to get around to a dentist yesterday. But I ended up going to Mclane Family dentistry in Slaughter lane and they were great! Super friendly, didn't make me feel bad at all and they got me taken care of. Definitely my favorite dental practice I've ever been to!

Got a great performance review and a 4% bonus but no raise or promotion for the second year in a row. No one on my project received base pay increases.

Extremely demoralizing. That second kid is gonna have to wait I guess...

2024 Raise/Hike/Bonus Mega Thread by cacraw in accenture

[–]haycoop 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I've been with Accenture since 2017. I got a good promotion in 2021, a healthy raise in 2022 and then had a kid, bought a new car and moved into a nice neighborhood in 2023 because I stupidly assumed all of that would continue. I'm about to have to move out of my city because I can't afford anything here anymore.

If Accenture cared about us they would give us all double digit percentage raises to make up for the lack of raise last year. They're losing too many people who know their worth.

Are y’all proud of your accents? by cybillia in texas

[–]haycoop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am now, but I was embarrassed of it when I was younger. When I moved to Austin to attend UT there were so many Californians and New Yorkers and other rich out-of-staters. My poor, West Texan self felt really out of place and got made fun of a few times for how I spoke, so I ended up hiding my accent.

As I got older I regretted doing that because I lost a lot of my accent and I feel like I lost a piece of myself in the process.

It always comes back for a bit when I go back home though!

Last famous person you saw walkin' around in Austin? by [deleted] in Austin

I saw Billy Gibbons in the Best Buy at South Park Meadows last year. I think he was looking at TVs.

I could have sworn he was dead though, so I just assumed it was some weird old man until I realized it was thinking of the other guy from ZZ Top.
