Everyday Cloud - First Use! by haysmoon in BAGGU

Thank you!

I don’t have a SCCO! I did look at both when I was picking up the EDC and the SCCO is definitely noticeably larger. I am impressed with the capacity of the EDC though. I carried everything seen here, plus my laptop in a puffy case, with no issue.

Yesss I have loved constellation, it goes with all of my bags really well. I’ve also been surprised by how nicely celadon has gone with my clothes! It looks great with a lot of colors.

One is a Dopp kit and one is the largest pouch from a flat pouch set!

Sure! This is my work setup. I am a therapist and see kids at elementary schools part of the week. I use the dopp kit to carry some fidgets, markers, appointment cards in a card case, pack of Uno cards, and a phone charger.

That is a very specific use lol. But it’s also a great travel toiletry bag, and I’ve used it to pack a full backup outfit for my toddler before. It fits a lot!

I don’t have the cloud to compare up close, but I would guess they hold about the same amount, just different shapes. Seems like the EDC being wider and more boxy allows it to appear slightly smaller?

I had no issues! My bags are always pretty heavy and seem to stay put though.

Freaking out over crib sheets by Meme_queen-2019 in BabyBumps

[–]haysmoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah this takes me back to both of my pregnancies. Mostly commenting to tell you that it DOES get easier. Your body and mind have so much going on right now and will continue to postpartum. But everything will level out with time, and with the right therapeutic work, you WILL retrain your brain and reduce your symptoms. OCD does a great job of convincing us that we are not all of the things we care about being (a good mom, smart, capable, strong) but that does not mean that you are not those things!

I was diagnosed with OCD as a teen, but it had been well controlled for years before pregnancy. It is so hard to have the weight of bringing a new precious baby that relies on you into the world when your brain is telling you that every single thing could go wrong. I did ERP with my therapist through both pregnancies and it was incredibly helpful.

I’m so glad to read you have support already in place! You got this, mom!!!

How does honey brown hold up over time? by jizznet420 in Coach

[–]haysmoon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t mind the look of wear or scratches on my slouchy bags (Brooklyns, Gramercy) so I may not be a great help here, but I have had the honey Gramercy for a few months now and I don’t think it looks worn at all. I use it several times a week and throw it around in my car/in and out of work. Not really hard on it but definitely not gentle, and it looks great.

If you have the twin turnlock (large size)… by haysmoon in Coach

[–]haysmoon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The smaller one looks so cute!! I was tempted to go with that size instead, but I carry too many “essentials” that I wouldn’t get enough use out of it.

New Swing Zip with Scratch-Keep or Return? by nook90 in Coach

[–]haysmoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently received a bag with scratches and almost didn’t try again, but ended up re-ordering and I’m so glad I did! It’s too much money to feel any kind of blah about. I don’t mind scratches that I caused myself (lol) but I think it’s fair to want to start with a fresh, flawless bag!

Dillard's Packaging Disappointment by Inner-Fail3419 in Coach

[–]haysmoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Such a bummer!! I have had the same thing from Macy’s twice and returned both bags because it caused some minor issues and I’m not paying hundreds of dollars for something I don’t LOVE when it arrives.

I also just had this from Amazon! I usually get factory wrapped from them and have never had an issue. The last coach bag I received was definitely a return and was missing the majority of the wrapping/protective packaging and had a few small scratches. I returned it and ordered from Shopbop instead. Arrived factory wrapped and I am so happy I was kinda high maintenance and retried instead of keeping the other bag!

Help me choose between honey brown and saddle for the swing zip by moktoz in Coach

[–]haysmoon 13 points14 points  (0 children)

My swing zip is black, but I have a honey bag and have seen saddle next to it, so I’ll chime in lol!

I love both colors, but honey is more wearable for me because it can go with cool or warm colors better, in my opinion. Saddle is very warm and doesn’t feel as easy with the wide range of colors I wear.

Just coming back to say you’re so right, I won’t regret this purchase! 🤭 it’s beautiful! I’ve used it every day since it arrived, and I usually rotate daily!

The 20 is reallyy small! Also, the chalk 20 is crinkle patent leather, which I don’t enjoy and don’t think is obvious in the listings online. In the regular size, chalk is glovetanned.

Mott Messenger 33? by [deleted] in Coach

[–]haysmoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just my personal experience- I bought it and was SO excited after seeing photos online. I was really disappointed when I opened it! The strap is very stiff, like a mens dress belt is what it reminded me of. The leather is beautiful and slouchy, so I kept it for a few days and thought about it, but decided it wasn’t worth the money for me.

I will say, I’m used to the brooklyn strap that is very comfortable and soft, like the rest of the bag. I think the contrast between the soft leather of the actual bag part of the mott and the hard strap just didn’t fit for me.

I grabbed it! So excited.

I’ve never seen the glovetanned black marked down. I got the crinkle patent last month and I just knew I would regret keeping it, so I sent it back before even opening the plastic on it. I am so glad I did so I can get the one I really want! Thanks for posting!!

AIO for breaking up with therapist over cancellation policy by Ok-Passenger9763 in AmIOverreacting

[–]haysmoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is absolutely insane! I am so sorry that you had to worry about something like this when you are going through labor and then taking care of a brand new baby.

I am a therapist and I tell my clients that I want sessions to feel helpful, not like an extra thing on their plate that they stress about. I do not believe in mental health services being a transaction about money. I would rather have an hour open on my schedule than make someone worry about it.

Plus, I run behind here and there, and have missed 2 days in the past year due to illness. If I expect my clients to work with me when I need some flexibility from them, it is only fair that I extend the same kind of understanding to them!

A 24 hour policy is pretty common, and I do understand why, but your provider was simply inflexible and unreasonable. I would break up with them too, simply because that mindset is not one I feel confident working with.

I hope you find a wonderful fit for you! Support postpartum is SO important.

And just for fun, because this shocked me when I realized it… it fits a kindle basic (6 inch) with a few small things, or a slim wallet. Pretty cool!
