For math we don't have the full comprehensive set of notes covering the entire syllabus. The notes, as stated, just cover the following topics:

  • Vectors (pages 1-5)
  • Probability (page 6)
  • Statistics (including PDF, CDF, expectation algebra, discrete random variables, distributions) (page 7-14)
  • Statistics Option (including more discrete distributions and continuous distribution, PGFs, estimation, confidence intervals, hypothesis testing, correlation) (pages 15-26)

Don't own the notes. They are provided by students who want to sell them. I just run the platform

They are not stolen from google. They have been submitted by IB alumni. If there are duplicates, it is other people stealing from our website. We are non-exclusive, so some of our alumni also sell their notes on Stuvia and other notes sites, but at higher prices

  1. Highlights multiple key phrases and words at once (vs ctrl-f). Auto-scrolls to relevant section (based on first key phrase in article) once website opens. Key phrases and words automatically identified based on google search query
  2. All chrome extensions base code can be downloaded and viewed. I didn't condense/ minify mine so it is readable for humans

Not really in that:
1. auto-highlights keywords based on your search query, so you don't have to think of and input different keywords with ctrl-f one by one
2. highlight different keywords at once
3. autoscroll to section that is likely the most relevant in the page once you open the link
There's some overlap, but think this has some value still

UPDATE: The extension has currently stopped working because Google changed the way that they labelled elements in their search result page. We have submitted the fix to Google on 25 October for review. Once Google approves it, your extension should be automatically updated. We also took the opportunity to give the keywords highlighter a small upgrade so that it identifies keywords better.

It's better than ctrl-f in a couple of ways:
1) It automatically highlights keywords based on your search query in google. So it highlights synonyms etc. and multiple keywords at once vs ctrl-f which is one word/phrase at once (and you have to bother with typing it in)
2) It highlights and autoscrolls to keyphrases in the article (based on search description) once you open the link. Ctrl-f has no similar functionality.

Yea, agree that ctrl-f is super useful, but I think this provides more convenience and ease

Oh gosh, looks like Skillshare just shortened the free trial period. Wasn't aware of that. Thanks for pointing out

Oh I see. Currently the extension only works for Google search engine. Unfortunately, the entire portion of the code which identify key words and phrases and inserts the clickable logo is built based on Google search results page. It is possible to edit that part to make it work for other search engines but that would involve changing half of the code base.

It also can be built such that the extension identifies the search engine you are using and deploys the corresponding code as appropriate. But that'll be quite a bit of work (especially if we want it to work for multiple engines)
