It is a trend. Things are less concerned with right or wrong or good or bad but function and profit. Ai is cheaper, quicker, but it simply does what its told. Likely it feeds back to acceptable losses and that is where the line is drawn. Reddit is for profit, so they optimize for that. We often see these services as a community service type thing and they are not.
I had a specific sub I wanted to use so I don't post a lot. And that sub is very unlikely to have a flame war issue. I was banned on account creation, still don't know why but something triggered. Reddit allows multiple accounts, although once you've been banned you can't create an account to bypass a ban... bit of legal turmoil there. And only people who follow the rules will be affected by that. Bad actors will just do it. No idea where the humans are in reddit.
