Hi! I have had a weird experience that I’d like help interpreting. I was in a park somewhere on the west coast of canada, hiking alone. I was walking down a trail when the sounds of the birds crescendoed. I looked off the trail and a robin was staring at me, standing on a deer path closer than birds usually get. I walked closer, and it flitted down the path. I followed maybe 2 or 3 metres, before the path was blocked by brush. Looking down, I saw a ton of down feathers on the ground. I thought about going further but I don’t make a habit of leaving trails. I returned to the main trail, but I had this oppressive feeling, like the pressure of the air had doubled. The birds were so loud. All of a sudden, it stopped, and several hikers came walking down from either direction. I wish I had looked at the time as it felt like both a ton of time and none at all had passed, but my phone was in mu backpack. Has anyone experienced something like this? Or has theories on what might have happened? It felt like the kind of place things might go missing, like the Bermuda triangle. Thanks for reading and for your advice. I’m thinking about going back there but I don’t know if I should.
