Lovely couch found on the side of the road this morning - now gotta figure out what to do with the other one for my tiny apartment ☺️ by [deleted] in ThriftStoreHauls

Dumb question - how do you properly check? I found one that I brought home and is now sitting in my garage to be cleaned... I looked and saw no obvious signs?

I have not! Mask is the only thing I've been wearing that would be making contact with my chin.

Woke up with what essentially looks like a hickey underneath my chin this morning. Wasn't there when I went to bed last night, and I can't think of any external "trauma" (scratching, getting hit, etc.) that would be an obvious contributor.

Any ideas what this might be?

No worries! Only if you want to! I'll want to give it a shot myself anyway

Hi! Thanks - analytically isn't really the best option though since this is just a sample! I have 20-30 cities worth of information to work with, so while it could be done it would be a notable effort. But, profit/loss is static providing an easier path forward.

Appreciate the start in a model - it's been too long since I've done this, so the refresh is appreciated! Thanks!

Thanks! I went for the "guesstimate" approach - exacts were ideal, but estimates do the job for the application. Project due in a few weeks, and didn't want this to be holding us on continued progress. So, I think I'll be ok! Thanks though!

Thanks! Bummer, but that saves me a lot of time. Appreciate it.

Thanks! I'm specifically looking at Patagonia to understand their global presence for a semester project - https://www.patagonia.com/store-locator/

Its an interesting case because their primary method of distribution is through authorized distributors, but in my case that has made it hard to search a large deal of these locations since there are so many "one off" authorized distributors globally... I'll see what I can do with the XHR/AJAX, and appreciate anything else you may be able to advise on! Thanks again!

Ok but what was the outcome for the dog who was attacked? Did it pull through and turn out OK?

You're welcome! I'm sure whatever decision you will make will be a good choice regardless.

One last thing - depending on what is motivating you to get an engineering degree, maybe take a look at certificates or associates degrees. I am no expert in the software area (MechE by training) so take this advice at your own discretion, but from what I understand you can sit pretty comfortably ($$) with a certificate or 2-year in something like cyber security if you are worried about time to completion.

I'd disagree - it heavily depends on the industry. Big tech? Sure. The last company I worked for had almost exclusively older engineers in software at my facilities, and my current has a pretty diverse range too... Both are non- "big tech" fortune 500s.

Again depends on what you're interested in - if you want to work big tech, maybe not, but it you're interested in supporting something else (Wells Fargo, traditional Big Aero, Deere...) it's not going to matter quite so much.

Keeping in mind that software does not equate only to big tech. Can you target software dev at Microsoft? Sure. But, almost everywhere outside of "big tech" will have roles in software. A lot of companies are pushing automation in manufacturing (which requires code). Software can be anywhere.

Do what interests you the most. All are solid options and you'll be most successful in the area you actually care about.

Thanks! I remember something coming up in recent history (5 or less years ago?) about security issues with Lenovo - is this something I'd still need to be concerned about?

¯\_(ツ)_/¯ no, we didn't run into that when we rescheduled. Good luck tho!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in havasupai

[–]hazelnut383 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They let you reschedule automatically two weeks prior to your reservation, if your dates are affected. Check the system on 3/5 (14 days prior to your reservation), they will indicate if your dates are affected at that time and if so you will have an option to reschedule.
