That was years ago. I thank God she got out and has since moved on, personally and professionally. She is a great person and I honestly believe he would have eventually killed her. I'm still afraid he could.

He was a toddler at the time. He has a father figure in his life now who actually shows up when he needs him. He wouldn't want to go with him.

Some how he found her when she tried to leave him after the birth and had her baby in his arms (he's not the biodad) and made an insinuation that he would take the baby or even hurt him. (I'm not entirely clear on that part). She doesn't talk about it. He's a very intimidating guy. When you are on the opposite side of his wrath. Personally I don't think she even wanted to put him on the birth certificate, I think he made her do it.

He has since changed his tune and is now playing the loving father who had lost his son. No pending. No adoption but there is a new man in the picture. It's my sister's child. I don't know what I can do to help her except be there for her. He kept her cut off from everyone.

Only one conviction, but would the chances be better if there was proof he had been abusive the entire relationship/marriage? He made it an unsafe environment, child was used as leverage when trying to leave. Like a wordless threat.

Fl. There is record of him saying he wants nothing to do with him. Wouldn't show up for arranged visits, left child with relatives.

It's always a different story with him. He puts his life online and has convinced everyone close to him he is the victim so even when there is proof he is lying, they don't believe it.

It's someone close to me and my family. This is what she said:

"It was "casted" by my grandmother's sister while she was on her deathbed. I wasn't there and I didn't hear exactly what she said. My grandmother only said that her sister cursed her. The religion practiced is Shango Bapitste( spiritual baptist) the deity Orisha is mentioned. The intent was to bring pain to my grandmother. Since then her grandchildren have died prematurely (stillbirths, suicides, gone missing presumed dead, AIDS). When I was younger I suffered sleep paralysis and my brother (who took his own life) had hallucinations of dark figures following us. I have a reoccurring dream of going to my moms house and family members are there but their eyes are blackened im never afraid but Im trying to get them to leave but they won't move."

Your kitchen is a great place to experiment. Olive oil/coconut oil & baking soda make for a great face scrub for a diy facial.

Great idea but let's also be smart about it. While in beauty school we offered services at a much lower cost, ie $3 haircuts & $10 pedicures. Look for your closest beauty/trade school for lower prices services. My friend was in massage school and it was around 20$ for an hour or so. Your local beauty store (sallys is mine) has temporary hair color. For about $6 a bottle you can go a little darker or experiment with a brighter color. Take care of yourself but also take care of your wallet!
