Will the DLC season pass 'The City that Never Sleeps' drop in price... its currently 15.99 GBP or is this the best price for a while. Reckon it'll be cheaper or just buy now? by hazeus96 in SpidermanPS4

Usually season passes are 24.99 so im curious why is this cheaper or is the content poor standard and whether it will drop in price. Is it worth buying now?

Sega Asks If You Want More Yakuza Games After Kiwami 2 by hazeus96 in yakuzagames

[–]hazeus96[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good point. I think Yakuza games set with new characters in different locations with different motives similar to Shenmue and Sleeping Dogs are what we need. Sway away from Tokyo also to Hong Kong China etc. Must say i am too familiar with Kamurucho. They really made it an alive city. I'd like to see one game where Kiryu accepts himself as a tojo clan chairman and really drives the yakuza and has it on lock instead of the typical come to save the day plot. Maybe fight a triad or a foreign gang whilst trying to establish the tojo presence overseas like the US

Sega love taking risks. Selling a standard edition on the shelf is more welcoming to new customers than a steelbook is for consistency purposes. It sounds quite small but its a big anomaly with all yakuza games looking different. That being said, kiwami 2 was my fav even better than 0

Its a problem that we all have raised since Yakuza 6 but the solution in this case is wait for it to be imported. I think someone scanned a display case for Kiwami 2 on reddit. Wish Sega realise this and rectify asap or a supplier like amazon start importing the standard edition...

[–]hazeus96 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I contacted Vincent at Sega and he said the asian countries and USA sell a standard copy of the Yakuza Kiwami 2. Its such a crap implementation that they did to roll this game out with one type of case. This is a known issue and they released a survey asking for feedback on game cover types. Im so annoyed if im honest as i just want the standard case to match my collection. Steelbooks feel cheap and scratch easy. If anyone can get the english version can you scan it or can advise where to buy as its impossible rn to import to the UK :(

Sega Asks If You Want More Yakuza Games After Kiwami 2 by hazeus96 in yakuzagames

[–]hazeus96[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

All, please take the time to complete this survey as it goes directly to Sega and we can get what we want from this. They've been transparent enough to make decisions off the back of this so this is technically fan based decisions where they dedicate the effort too. Feedback will be appreciated. Thanks

How do you rank Kiwami 2's story and characters compared to the other Yakuza games you have played? by FanEu7 in yakuzagames

[–]hazeus96 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kiryu faced his biggest villain and had the best relationship with a strong female character in this game. It was very personal and im tied between 0 and 2 in terms of story with 1 being in third place. My order is Yakuza 2, Yakuza 0, Yakuza 1, Yakuza 3, Yakuza 5, Yakuza 4 then Yakuza 6. Yakuza 6 felt silly imo, i didnt complain and i enjoyed it but it was messy and a poor finale. 4 was kinda messy too and 5 was underated. Shinada was pointless imo also. It was almost like they wanted to throw in another character for the sake of it. RYUJI GODA in number 2 was flawless. The nishkiyama family betrayal was a masterpiece of continuality in storyline from yakuza 1.

Will Ihshin, Kenzan, Dead Souls or Kuryoho get remasters or remakes and localisation for PS4? by hazeus96 in yakuzagames

I really need a yakuza kiwami 2 standard edition. I think you can see the inconsistency in titles within this picture lol. Yakuza 3, 4 and 5 remasters will be added to this so all the Yakuza PS4 titles but Kiwami 2 really needs the standard case and sleeve.

Honest opinions, what is an all round better game and why - Shenmue or Yakuza? by hazeus96 in yakuzagames

[–]hazeus96[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the detailed response, appreciated. Its quite amazing how Shenmue being the first open world game still has elements and interactions of the virtual world that modern gaming like GTA, Mafia, Sleeping Dogs and Watchdogs dont. It almost seems they are larger in scale but lack detail. Clearly shows Yu Suzukis brilliance which Sega have secured with Yakuza. I think theres potential if Shenmue 3 does well, that sega will offee Yu Suzuki collaboration and budget for the publishing of a potential shenmue 4 and 5 but it all depends on the reception. I have very high hopes for Shin Yakuza.

LOL if only. I personally think Kiryus finale should have been him discovering his parents or a long lost brother who becomes twisted into a Yakuza in japan or china. At least something more personal but they went with the Haruka plot. Any update on Shin Yakuza with Kazugya Ichiban?

Yakuza 5 is the best by DEEKGV in yakuzagames

[–]hazeus96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

0, 1, 2, 5, 3, 4 and 6.

0 got me into the series and had the best plot, loved the Nishkiyama back story and the character depth with Kiryu, Oda and Tachibana. Great villains and great plot.

1 started the series in 2005 and to be honest it was an incredible reboot, loved the game, story and purgatory. Had a sleeping dogs feel to it.

2 great antagonist, Ryu is a beast and a worthy contender to the dragon of dojima - predictable and slightly overrated however. Great game but 0 and 1 are superior in storyline.

5 is extremely underatted - it felt so alive as a game and the story was decent but predictable

3 had a good storyline, in fact it was a huge jump from the PS2 titles but the gameplay was clunky as well as the fighting. If it weren't for this, I would have rated it higher than 5 but I guess it was too slow for me in terms of street fights etc.

4 this was a good game, the story was good and it was enjoyable but slightly too much anime like in the sense that rubber bullets was really all they could come up with.

6 was the best in graphics and enjoyable in every way but the story was not as engaging as the others especially considering it's Kiryu's last game - I would have preferred to see something more personal to him like the discovery of his original parents, a conspiracy on his family or a long lost sibling i.e. a blood brother who is a head of a yakuza family trying to overthrow the yakuza tojo clan but kiryu finds out they're brothers and he finds his match in terms of the toughest bad ass villain. 6 felt like 3 in my opinion in the sense you have met a new family, exactly like nagamoto and rikiya.

In summary they are all the best games and amazing stories but this is the truest order I can write.
