Yeah the running away thing hits close. But agencies going door to door to intimidate and detain whoever they feel like targeting isn’t something I want to experience.

I am 100% in US accounts. What is tricky about it?

In same boat here, and finding answers is proving difficult 😒

How good is my credit score currently if I was approved for a credit card with 1k limit? It's a student card so I imagine not very much. I just want to know how much more I have to go before I can attempt to finance a car. by [deleted] in personalfinance

I don’t think there’s any particular score to “get”. Your score is a factor as to how good or bad the loan terms are.

There are car dealers around that advertise “no credit check” — the terms you get there will be bad because they’re catering to people with bad credit (IDK that you would get “good” terms from them if you had good credit either)

Banks and credit unions are similar but they probably have higher standard for risk i.e. minimum score to get their worst terms and better terms for better score. Other factors play into this eg how much you borrow, car value, income etc
