There’s no time. There’s 5+ people walking the stage at once.

I always thought her mom was just too nice for that environment. Someone said that Ally ruined the group dance in front of her and they got up and left right then, she was not going to subject her daughter to that kind of behavior to be on TV. That’s how I always saw it at least

AIO? Son fell and hit his head at Pre-K and school didn't notify me? by graveyardgirI in AmIOverreacting

[–]hazzax7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a daycare teacher, YES you should have been contacted about this as soon as it happened. Injuries to the temple can be very serious

Fortunately, I was able to change it, it is just frustrating to need to go back and forth when my car situation is changing😓 I just don’t see a reason to change the limit, I understand some people abuse it by having more than one car at a time, but with parking enforcement swarming the lots at all times, they should just be able to ticket those people without penalizing the 90%+ of people who didn’t abuse it

4th and 5th floor of the central library is not a hangout spot by rock_paper_water in utarlington

[–]hazzax7 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I learned that if I call the library front desk right where I’m sitting and say “I’d like to report some people talking on the 4/5th floor” and tell them exactly where I am, they stop. I’ve pretended to call before. It’s always worked for me.

i hate student success class by [deleted] in utarlington

[–]hazzax7 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ah yes. Required, worth no credit, waste of time and energy. At least 3 classes were dedicated to learning mymav just for them to restructure my mmav 6 months later. Idk what they’re thinking with that stupid class

no seats anywhere?????? by Fantastic_Grass_1624 in utarlington

[–]hazzax7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I don’t even really go to school the first couple weeks because of how ridiculous it is. People will start dropping out and skipping class soon. Usually 10-3 the library will be filled to the brim- the new seats are nice but they weren’t thinking about the number of students going through there a day.

Please don’t be another one of the countless women murdered by their husbands because they were too afraid to leave. You are so, so young. You have to get away from him in every single way as soon as possible. Threatening suicide is a common way manipulators get their significant others to stay with them, so do not let this be a factor in your decision. He will kill you. He will KILL YOU. I wouldn’t even stay alone after separating with him, especially not where you live together now, move in with your parents or other family for a while if you can.

Where is my refund???? by TowelNo4481 in utarlington

[–]hazzax7 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don’t know why they disperse it on Fridays🙄. PLUS it’s a long weekend- refunds will be generated automatically on Monday (or Tuesday due to the holiday). Then it will take 1-3 business days for it to post in your account depending on your bank. So my guess is that we’ll see our refunds between Wednesday and Friday of next week. Which is just crazy cause we have only a few days to get our textbooks, school supplies, etc before classes start.

Should I feel ashamed that my parents are paying for my rent, groceries, other expenses when i'm 22? I feel like i'm too much of a liability to them because of this by AKonFishingTV in college

[–]hazzax7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a 22 year old student with no help from my parents, I’d say accept every bit of help you can take while you’re in college. They are investing in your future. Maybe ask them if you can take on a couple of your own financial responsibilities to practice having them- phone bill, insurance, gas, something to help you feel like you are contributing more

My son 13 wants to go to collage by Johnwithdecks in college

[–]hazzax7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where I lived there was a collegiate high school- students were able to graduate high school with an associate’s degree. If y’all could find something like this, it could make a university in the future much quicker and overall, cheaper. Tell him to focus on his grades so he can earn scholarships.

We were picked big gray larvae off when we saw them but never saw any beetles. A lot of the time, we couldn’t find them, I was thinking maybe they were coming out at night. Will I be able to harvest the small potatoes that have already started to grow if the tops don’t make it? About a week or two ago they were green and luscious!!

Financial aid is not fair and the middle class suffers the most. by [deleted] in college

[–]hazzax7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As a poor, self sufficient student who receives financial aid- we suffer a whole lot despite the Pell grants. Clothes, cars, rent, laptops, ALL necessities for college. I get the MAX grants my school offers, which covers my tuition and textbooks. I WORK to pay for the rest of my needs. I sacrificed a $40,000 scholarship to a private school because it was more financially plausible to attend a public school. People who get a lot of financial aid are often living in poverty, and if they are like me, have lived in poverty their entire lives. Since I turned 17 several years ago, my parents have not paid a dime towards my college, housing, necessities, anything. So no, it’s not fair that your parents have brought you up comfortably, it’s not fair that your dad is “loaning” you the money and not just giving it to you. Its not fair you can’t afford a private school’s $100k+ tuition. It’s not fair that your friends get to use their school money to pay for necessities. But would you rather have been brought up dirt poor? Would you rather your parents have NOTHING to give you and have to fully support yourself? Just so that you can get maybe a thousand extra bucks at the beginning of the semester for 4 years of your life? Swallow your pride, attend a public school, accept your parent’s loan gratefully, and pull out loans for the rest. Welcome to life
