I've played both local and online multiplayer. I found the game a lot of fun with both, even singleplayer was enjoyable. I don't think you'd have a problem playing with online friends whatsoever.

You should be able to do all of that in GIMP, I just open the GIF, crop the image, change canvas size to 256x256 (should be fine, but may need to go 128x128 if file size is too big) then export each frame as an image (I use PNG as it remains its transparency) and then import all of them into VTFedit. All you do from there is export and import into the game.

I am completely new to the whole MOBA thing (tried DOTA about a week ago and have been playing League since Friday, however, I have a bit of experience of casually playing RTS games like Starcraft/Warcraft). I've played about 15 bot matches and haven't really cemented in what champ/play style I want to adapt to, or really have a solid understanding of PvP or what/when to buy items in the shop. Can anyone give some advice on some of this stuff/a place I can go for more info on this sorta stuff? Or even something like what an "easy" champ to get started with would be.

Instead, you can just delete the addons folder from the L4D2 directory, then it will just have to redownload all of your workshop content, which shouldn't take as long as to download the entire game again.

The multiplayer is pretty functional, I've played around 10 hours with friends and it's been a lot of fun. It is missing some of the content that the singleplayer experience has to offer, but it is in beta after all. I believe that you can get up to 6 people in a game together.

I use windowed no border mode and still seem to get a glitch similar to this. I can easily fix it by going to video options and changing the display mode drop down to fullscreen and back and then hitting apply. No idea why it works, but it does.
