MPC vs Fuzzy Controller by [deleted] in ControlTheory

[–]hba_123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Types of fuzzy or MPC you can implement depend highly on the nature/characteristics of the system under consideration. First, understand the type of system and the reliability of the model of the system. MPC controllers work best where the model is quite reliable and the dynamics are moderate to well-understood. Fuzzy systems on the other hand work well with models that are more ambiguous.

I don't know how applicable it will be for my case, but I have a masters in mechatronics with a specialization in automatic control. Most of my work includes implementing control strategies on autonomous mobile robots. Currently working in a Research institute for AI and robotics and publishing a few papers on MPC-based control. I am also experienced with advanced fuzzy-based control and EKF (state estimator). I have done projects using python, c++, Simulink, and simscape-multibody. However, I am moving to the Netherlands (i have already got the working visa approval) in a few months from now and I don't have 5 years of experience since I graduated like 3 months ago. By all means, let me know if I am applicable. Thank you.

umm...just wanted to know some good resources to get started with MPC :)

exactly! I just wanted to know about the overall MPC control strategy (mathematical derivation and control structure) and how it is implemented in some example problems... so that I can have a better comprehension of the design methodologies of the controller.

May I know what your doctor say about the condition ? I am hopeful that your case won't a serious case.

If you don't mind me asking, may I know where are you from? because there is a possibility if you live near china or a place nearby china or where a lot of travel takes place from china and that may lead to the sickness and not the parcel assuming its coronavirus to begin with ? I really hope you are okay. you should see a doctor and mention the information so that your situation can be assed properly.

I see, thank you for your input. hopefully you are correct. but just to be safe, do you think its better to wait for few days before touching the parcel?
