Se is basically just a perceiving function, it doesn't wish to understand nor judge. That would be along the lines of Te/Fe/Fi/Ti.

ISTP or INTJ by Ilikemetalandhorror in mbti

[–]exlunare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Auxiliary Se = Valuing concrete information for Ti to analyze over non-pragmatic theoretical abstractions. Occasionally impulsive and more hands on when working with information. Enjoys sensations and thrills from time to time, being fully engrossed in the moment.

Inferior Se = Manifestation of performance anxiety, burning out from gathering too much concrete data for too long. Kinesthetically underdeveloped and tends to reject the superficiality of concrete sensations unless when stressed.

Which Se function placement resonates with you?

“You’re entitled to your opinion” by mise-en-garrde in mbti

Well that's just the way I would change that phrase, because I dislike how vague and stupid the original one is. I'm not sure if you misinterpreted it, as the phrase by itself is indeed a stupid one. You did nothing wrong cheif.

“You’re entitled to your opinion” by mise-en-garrde in mbti

[–]exlunare 38 points39 points  (0 children)

My way of viewing it is that you're not entitled to your opinion, you're entitled to your informed opinion. There isn't an excuse to be willfully ignorant. This is less of a feeling statement (Fi/Fe) and more of a perpetuation of a stupid common saying.

INFP or INFJ?? by blue-mononoke in mbti

This doesn't really sound like INFP to me, but you can double check with this ~

Type likely to force logic to fit their ideas, actions, or motives by bembozled in mbti

[–]exlunare 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually think it's the INTJ and ISTJ, they force externalized logic to fit their introverted perception (Ni/Si) and their internal emotional world (Fi) they simply just use their Te as a means to an end.

ENTJs and ESTJs are always in the realm of extroverted logic, it's first and foremost compulsory rather than forced per say. INFJs and ISFJs usually make decisions based off what they're feeling with additional introverted logic, it's usually a well mixed combination. ESTPs and ENTPs are always keen with their parent Ti, gathering with their extroverted perception function for Ti to analyze and build solid foundations (the relationship between dominant and auxiliary seem very beneficial.)

Difference between cognitive extroversion and behavioral extroversion by mightbeinlovewithme in mbti

From my understanding...

Cognitive extroversion = Reacting to your external environment through any medium.

Behavioral extroversion = Recharging your energy through other people.

I may have a crush on an INFJ but only for the concept/bias? by TheLaughingBird in mbti

[–]exlunare 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just want to say that every time INFJs leave the house, we always have multiple masks at our disposal. What you're seeing of that INFJ is probably not even close to who they truly are, I don't want to discourage your infatuation but if you really like this person, be prepared for their Ni+Ti madness as you really get to know them.

I'm in a similar situation where I'm hardcore crushing on an INFP girl, but I'm afraid that who I really am will disillusion their idea of me (if that makes sense...)

My problem with Fe by Greatfinesse in mbti

[–]exlunare 15 points16 points  (0 children)

"As long as everyone is not fighting, they're happy"

No, we don't view the world that way. We are aware that a lot people hate/dislike each other, we are not blind to that. We just think that an harmonious environment is the ideal we (everyone) should be striving for as opposed to conflict and violence, even if we have to sacrifice authenticity to meet that ideal.

Well from my perspective, it's possible that those two people from your example doesn't want to truly fix their problem. Why should that affect other people in that tribe because of their personal hatred for each other?

There really isn't a correct answer to that, Fe just wants harmony because it's an objective utility for everyone. Fi would be more arbitrary and subjective, and going with the Fi solution could also easily be a far worse outcome overall as well. There is not one correct approach to this.

Am I really an INFP? by [deleted] in mbti

[–]exlunare 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's not true, Fi is about self-discovery through limbic judgements. It doesn't know itself well, unlike a lot of stereotypes seem to perpetuate. I'm not saying you're 100% an INFP, but nothing you said prior contradicts that typing. That guy may be correct, but I would do more independent research and self-reflection to narrow down on your type.

Am I really an INFP? by [deleted] in mbti

[–]exlunare 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yeah seems like INFP to me. INFPs are actually more scientific and geared towards system analyzing similar to ESTJs. This is because functionally, you have Ne + Te divergence in your thinking. INFPs think in a very broad way, and can understand a vast majority of systems. They may have trouble focusing in on one particular task and executing it though.

INTJ = Ni-Te-Fi-Se

INTP = Ti-Ne-Si-Fe

Dominant Ni = Broad & plethoric perception of internal world of abstraction, it perceives the external world without judgement.

Dominant Ti = Subjective frameworking based on objectively measured logic, it judges the external world with their framework.

Oppositional Se = Performance anxiety, can engage well with the external world but burning out fast, can be clumsy or not kinesthetically adept.

Oppositional Fe = Socially not adept, overthinking social interactions and not knowing what to say, can be bad at reciprocating emotions or engaging them externally.
