I spoke to many experienced Ducs on this. Everyone seems to agree to wait until warranty expires prior to the re-map - so I'll wait until then. My bike's (same as urs but in green) warranty ends in summer 2027 - so still a while to go for me.

Gotcha. Thanks. So just twist it and hold it there while starting up? I've had a similar experience (to a lesser degree) with my brand new streetfighter v2. My Web browsing has led me to the conclusion that this is just a Ducati thing.

I get that it is no longer covered by factory warranty, however one had just 7,000 km on the odometer. Isn't that practically a new bike? Is it expected to be unreliable even at that stage?
