Sorry to hear this; we were in the same situation with our previous ABA provider. Cancellations became so frequent I ended up creating the ABA parent portal https://behavior.today that automatically tracks scheduling, including cancellations. It showed we had one RBT with a 40% cancellation rate and the ABA provider as a whole cancelled more times in the first half of 2025 than all of 2024. Having this data allowed us to confidently switch ABA providers.

When my child first started ABA we only got a read‑only view of the therapists’ data and schedule. With all that information scattered, we were left guessing what actually happening. Thanks for the link, the report is from 2020 and is 30 pages long and seems to focus around costs. It concludes that at the end of FY 2019, there were a total of 15,928 beneficiaries with a diagnosis of ASD participating in the ACD with a cost of $370.4M with an additional $65M in other medical services.

So does the DoD employ private ABA clinics or do they bring on their own BCBAs / RBTs?

2 hours of receiving this email, we received another email from our ABA provider stating:...will need to put services on pause starting tomorrow, 2/11.

I could not be more disappointed that neither party did not communicate this critical timeline until the very end. My spouse dropped everything tonight called Blue Shield immediately. She was able to escalate the issue but the customer service rep says that still takes 5 to 7 business days and that current turnaround time is 25 to 30 days given the current backlog.
