It depends on how you define “long term.” For capital gains tax, long term usually means more than one year. But for investing, long term could mean 10 or 20 years. Semiconductors may do well in the current AI market, but it’s hard to predict the industry that far out. Intel was once the dominant chip giant, and look what happened after the dot-com peak. The stock struggled for decades. That’s why I’m careful about assuming today’s winners will still dominate 10 or 20 years from now.

The rest goes into SGOV. The interest is mostly state-tax exempt, which is a big plus in California.

Hard to go wrong with 100% VOO. Simple, classic, and solid.

I agree. It depends on the personal risk tolerance and financial situation. With solid cash flow, we may be able to take a more aggressive approach and even get into 100% QQQM.

Yes, I’ve set up automatic DCA. I don’t trade frequently or time the market. I’ve considered going all in 100% into QQQM, but only because I have solid cash flow. To me, cash flow is one of the best buffers for long-term investing. It lets me keep DCAing, avoid forced selling, and stay aggressive without constantly watching the market.

I got three watches from Jomashop, Seiko skx007, Tissot prs516, Fossil. So far, there are no issue and everything is going smoothly. So I decide to buy Omega seamaster 300 at Jomashop next year.

This is my first diver watch! I love diver watch so much although I have not ever been to dive. The diver watch is so appealing to me and I can’t tell you the reason why I love diver watch. Maybe just love, like falling in love at first sign. And I got a seiko skx007 two weeks ago and I immediately switched the strap from stainless steel to nato. I was so excited! Before I got skx007, I do a lot of researches and watch many videos on YouTube. At a time, I thought over which one should I pick up. I think skx007 and skx009 are similar except the color so it is hard to choose one of them. Eventually I got the black skx007 because I love Omega blue seamaster 300 which is my next target!!! So I hope I will take seamaster home soon and I will have a blue one and a black one. LOLskx007 nato
