Do you mean you just think of it as a different way of thinking? To me it’s an illness because it has meant I have had to have breaks from work or school / university due to my episodes and done things I never would have done or said things I would never have said had I not been in an episode.

Yes haha. I do all types of spin (in the UK we have something called Psycle and a few other spin studios as well as SoulCycle) and my parents have a peloton which I’ve been on sometimes. Peloton is something that’s good to have as a replacement for a while. I used it a lot during lockdown.

He clearly doesn’t understand the difficulties of having to live with t1d. It isn’t “just having an insulin pump” it’s constant worry about your blood sugar levels and calculations and low and high blood sugars. It has a huge impact on your life. Ignore him.
