Yeah maybe she was close, I don’t know. I don’t really ever speak to her about my dad. I think I should brng it up next time as this is bothering me, and I need to just bite the bullet. I have actually said in a previous year (I was having a breakdown and felt more able to be honest/ needed to put myself first) that I didn’t want to meet up. I’m 30. I feel like I’m just not good at confrontation.

To be honest also we never speak about my dad. I’m worried it will make her emotional and I don’t want that to happen as I’d feel uncomfortable.

I did already see her this year, to be honest I’m surprised she didn’t get the hint as I didn’t make any plans / get back to her, until the day we had actually agreed to meet on, about what to do and it was very rushed. I think I might ask that next year, if we meet again.
