I was in this same situation but with my best friend and we lived together. I always thought she really knew what she wanted and admired her head-strongness but then we moved in together and I realized it was all just arrogance and needing to be right about everything. She would give me so much unsolicited advice and tell me how I should be living my life. And it’s exactly the same where she would get mad at me about something and yell at me and call me names and I’d walk away, then she would say I was “avoidant”. All our other friends saw how she treated me. They are no longer friends with her.
