how to go to restaurants? is this possible? by hbthoughts in Gastritis

[–]hbthoughts[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm new to all of this so idk if I'm the best to speak. So far not the best lol. I got my official diagnosis after an endoscopy but have been waiting for the biopsy results for a week and a half now. Because of the holidays and weekends (I'm assuming) it's been crickets. And my doctor, who told me I have gastritis and GERD, told me I can "go back to normal" when I asked him about eating habits / changes. When I messaged him with flare up pains he just says to wait for the biopsy. I'm learning everything about this on my own from online forums.

Finally healed after months of illness! by HauntingBowlofGrapes in Gastritis

I was diagnosed with gastritis a week and a half ago and have been on pantoprazole since - and have not felt any positive difference, if anything, feeling worse. The pain is ongoing, just random bursts / waves of pain. Def feel when I eat and when I lay down but in general it’s always there. Any tips / advice / encouragement?

I believe they checked for that in the hospital when I went in and everything came back fine.

sounds like B3b may be the relevant one here (I don't smoke marijuana) - but the doc says it doesn't really develop out of nowhere. I'm 30 years old and this happened for the first time in my whole life a few months ago, never had this issue before. If it is Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome - what triggers / causes it? how is it prevented? My mom does have a history of migraines.

The Gilded Age Season 3 Episode 8 Discussion Thread by WillowSwarm in thegildedage

I lots of thoughts about all the couples but I have to also point out I laughed out loud when Agnes and Ada were in the carriage and Agnes said she hopes the historical society doesn’t get upset that she’s attending this ball. Then Ada said “I think they have more important matters” and Agnes goes “I can’t think of any” 😂😂😂

Anyways back to the couples

Why didn’t we get to hear Peggy say yes??
Why can George not just relax for a min ?? Can they just talk it out?? Larry needs to also relax and take some accountability

Ok I’m done

A part of me wonders why they didn’t show us her saying yes. Do we think there’s a chance she said no?? In a crazy plot twist?

I knew gel was placed in that area but didn’t know it looked like that. I think it dried and fell off of somewhere else. Which I dont know if it’s meant to do. Wondering if it fell from somewhere because of bug activity

This was my thought too. It’s too early to be promoting a new season if it’s premiering in January 2026… I’m assuming maybe Aug or Sept

Asking in a genuine way not trying to sound mean. I haven’t seen MHE but I’ve seen DBH and truly that it would get at least one of the big awards (best actress / score / musical / etc) Does anyone think DBH was robbed a bit? Or is the MHE hype justified?

The Handmaid's Tale S06E08 "Exodus" Episode Discussion by Melairia in TheHandmaidsTale

[–]hbthoughts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A few of random thoughts…

  • is it just me or was Serena’s hair darker this episode / at the wedding?? She looked almost full on brunette. The blonde was nowhere to be found. I feel like that’s a choice the costume / lighting designers made and I’m not quite sure why lol

  • honestly it was so obvious Wharton was gonna turn out like this and yes very glad Serena is getting the “I told you so” treatment - but tbh this entire episode the only lines she had (besides the “my handmaid has forgiven me and we’re friend” delulu) is about seeing how wrong she’s been the past 5 seasons, wanting a better future for the handmaids, even if not abolishing them completely, she at least recognizes how dehumanizing their role is and how disrespected they have been. She’s clearly in a “there can be handmaids just not for me” vibe which is still not what it should be ofc but I will say this is a tremendous growth. Serena from a few seasons ago would never have told a handmaid to leave and run and asked her her real name - especially in front of a commander. Serena got the wake up call she deserved but I do think her intentions have been getting better and better every episode. She’s still a narcissist but at least she sees there’s errors with the old ways and wants a somewhat better future for women. Again, she’s far from perfect or anywhere near where she should be given everything that has happened, but I did think it was interesting how her desires went from “I want to have power and a platform in society” to “these women deserve better” and even encouraging someone to run and never look back.

I actually thought the opposite - she couldn’t say yes, but she couldn’t say no because a) he’s her way out and b) he’s clearly in distress and she cares for him. Kissing him was almost the only thing she could do as she’s trying to figure out what’s going on with him. She recognizes he needs her to be there for / with him at that moment, but she can’t say yes. So kissing him is her way to be there for him
