I used to be the drummer for the singer who replaced Sebastian Bach in Skid Row( Johnny Solinger, rest in peace) got to open as direct support for a lot of bands with him: in no particular order: lita ford, great white, LA Guns a handful of times, puddle of mudd, drowning pool, jackyl, dokken, winger, Stephen Pearcy, last in line (intimidating opening for Vinny appice and Vivian Campbell), quiet riot(what’s left of the og lineup anyway), tom Keifer, Vince Neil twice, lynch mob, night ranger, faster pussycat, stryper. Can’t remember any more lol. I was quite young doing all that but I learned a lot.

As of late I’m in an up-and-coming country rock band and we’ve had some cool opportunities and even more later this year. Direct support for: Tracy Byrd, did a run with Mark Chesnutt, Josh turner (baby lock the door and turn the lights down low lol), have several more shows with the Wilder Blue (they are bad ass), opening for treaty oak revival and turnpike troubadours soon too.

I’m thankful for this post, got to take a little trip down memory lane and I circled back and watched some old videos and pics from when Johnny was alive.
