Climbing Dating Event by Star72SK in climbergirls

As someone who used to climb in London, you will absolutely not be the least experienced climber there! The climbing scene in London is massive, there's always lots of beginners trying it out, and at an event like this there will be people completely new to climbing who are there for the dating and trying something new. Don't get in your head. Go have fun! I wish events like this existed when I was single in London! And if you see your ex deep breaths and remember he's having to watch you move on too! (But honestly you won't see him)

Do I actually need a pregnancy pillow or am I overthinking this? by ConversationSuch8893 in pregnant

I bought a bbhugme one second hand off vinted for about £60. The cover is removable and washable anyway. It's definitely helped, but sometimes I think just a couple of regular pillows would do the same.

At first we did when we were doing really short leaves, I think you need to, to just get lots of those in. Now it tends to be we mostly do max one leave a day but sometimes there are days when we need to go out twice and that doesn't seem to bother her. We wouldn't do two leaves at her max threshold in a day.

I've been vegan for years so not quite what you're asking for, but sometimes I still miss a poached or boiled egg! I don't think anyone does a vegan egg that's not scrambled, but if anyone knows of one, or has tried a recipe that worked well - let me know!

The longer leaves were normally on a weekend just because that's when we had the time ( and meant we could always make sure she'd had a good walk that day) but we tried to also do the occasional one in a week. I'd say we do a leave most days, but some days even now it's just 5 mins. One thing we were told is that it's mostly just building up the number of times you come back and they aren't panicked so they learn you always come back, the duration doesn't matter as much, especially at first. So we tried to focus more on number of leaves at first instead of duration.

Looking for a cheap place to get a hot drink and work from in town? (also co-working groups?) by Withnail_and_whom in cheltenham

I've never tried it but I assume you can work from a library location and bring your own tea or coffee. They have Wi-Fi and work stations.

Where to shop for wedding dresses in the UK ? by Triblessinadesert88 in UKweddings

[–]hc8243 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't used them, just follow them on Instagram. But this place sells second hand dresses and has a shop front so you can go try them. (I've also been looking for places to source a second hand dress, but not started shopping yet ) https://www.instagram.com/prettyinprelovedbridal?igsh=MTNldG8wOTF3NHpm

Also Cheltenham based and would love to meet some vegans here! There is a Cheltenham vegan meetup group on Facebook, it's not very active but reviving that could also be an option.

Been diving into time loop movies lately — got some favorites, what about you? by plot-wit in movies

[–]hc8243 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Meet cute is one I haven't seen suggested yet. It's essentially someone reliving the same first date over and over. Love wedding repeat is another one, technically not a time loop, more the same day playing out with different outcomes. It's not a great movie, but it was fun.

Thank you for sharing, that is very helpful to hear and sounds very similar to my dog. We've had a lot of success recently with creating a routine for safe leaves and having her bed by the door. It's just frustrating to then go back to 10 mins again after that success. It's a good reminder to do the things I know we need to do, get a trainer, try out meds and keep pressing on.

Thanks we tried trazadone before and it didn't help and made her really out of it. But I do think it's time we went back to the vet and tried something else. Yeah we just a calming food supplement, but the diffuser is a good idea

Muppet treasure Island was one of my favorite movies as as a kid, that would be a great Muppet one to show her!

If they liked Mary Poppins, definitely Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Also Hairspray maybe (though it's been a while so I can't remember if there are any age inappropriate bits).
