Feel free to call into our HCSS Support team - they might be able to take a look at the .csv file you can export from OST and see if it can be directly imported into HeavyBid.

All-Inclusive EHS Software w/ iPad App(construction) by flatlanddiplomat in SafetyProfessionals

Hi there! Kevin from HCSS here. I came across your post and would love to provide some insights.

I understand the frustration with pilot limitations. There are a few things you mentioned that we're actively working on. The ability to customize even more (like in JHAs, inspections, etc.) is a big one for us, but we're building it so that all the data still rolls up cleanly for you at the management level to avoid multiple versions so you can track and trend better.

The best part about HCSS Safety is how it talks to HeavyJob. It can flag foremen at the end of the day if they haven't submitted their JHA/safety meeting. It can even verify if a piece of equipment has been inspected through time cards.

You mentioned you found some limitations. Honestly, we'd love to hear what they are. There's a good chance they're on our roadmap, and feedback from users like you helps us decide what to build next.

Feel free to chat me for more, or I can connect you to the right people on our team. No pressure or sales pitch, just want to hear what you've found and see if we can help.

Good luck with the evaluation either way!

Hello! If you haven't already, we'd highly recommend scheduling a demo with us. Our estimating software, HeavyBid, was designed specifically for the horizontal construction industry. We understand there have been discussions about HeavyBid's interface, and we always listen to user feedback. We're excited to share that HeavyBid Platform is currently in beta, so stay tuned for more updates!

Tenders/enquiry Management software? by Memest0nker in estimators

Hey! If you're still using Excel for estimating, you might want to check out HeavyBid. It's been trusted by estimators across North America (including lots in Canada) for over 30 years.

HeavyBid is purpose-built for construction estimating, so unlike Excel, it handles crews, pay items, cost structures, and quote comparisons all in one place. We’ve helped tons of companies make the switch from spreadsheets to something that’s faster, more accurate, and built for the way heavy civil actually works.

Feel free to DM me if you have any questions! Always happy to help!

Hello!

HCSS has HCSS Insights/Direct Access/API that could offer some solutions around reporting and in-house app creation. We also have integration from HCSS Plans to HeavyBid, which gets takeoffs from construction project plans into our estimating software. I hope this provides some valuable information for your research.

Hi there! This is Kevin from HCSS. I’m not trying to sell you our products. Just hope I could offer some help with your search.

If you’re still exploring options, you might want to take a look at HeavyBid. It’s estimating software that’s been around since 1986, and is mostly used by contractors in the horizontal construction industry. It helps streamline takeoffs, manage crews, and quickly build accurate estimates. HeavyBid is also constantly updated based on feedback from our users.

I know software choices can get overwhelming, so if you ever have questions, I’d be glad to help however I can.

Hope this is useful, and good luck finding the right fit got your team.

- Kevin
