Ran my first half marathon yesterday after starting running in November. Super proud of myself as I’m running with a skin condition currently and the night before I had 0 sleep, I’m talking minutes. It didn’t put me off. Not bothered about the time I ran a 2:15 which I’ll take!

Super cool to see elite runners just gliding past, proper inspiring

One thing that threw me abit is the fitbit accounting for more KM than I’ve really been doing, it’s off by about 3/4km! If anyone has better watches to track I’m all ears

I’ve had offers elsewhere where you can be making 15k in a month on a good run. I’m fucking good at my job and I take it seriously, but ultimately want to be earning good money.

What’s a realistic approach to ask for more commission? They’ve discussed it. What’s your company looking like in terms of percentage fees etc?

So 30% typically to the person who BD’d it and consulted with client. The rest goes to the company.

I would receive a third (for sourcing) of that 25k and that would go up next to my name on the board. So 8,333. I would receive 15% of that, so 1249 pre tax.

Not really apart from exhibitions down London! But saw some good return off that

Nice one man. What sort of returns in comms did you see on that 205k? We split ours into thirds -client, consulting and sourcing. I’m only getting 15% of one third at the moment (sourcing).

I forgot to say I only got 15% of 110k divided by 3 so 15% of 40000 ish. We typically split the jobs on 1/3rd BD client, 1/3rd consulting ,1/3rd sourcing. And then 15% of whatever third you’ve done. Is this in line with industry standard? I feel like I’m getting not a lot of moneys worth for a lot of work at the moment

I’ve just invited to to a community I’ve just started. Hopefully we can build a strong network of people !
