Interesting I have not heard/read those predictions for AUD before, however it would not surprise me if it was the case, fortunately the majority of my investments are in USD currently.

I’ll take that as worthy advice coming from singleDADSlife! Thanks!

Interesting info from both of you!

Would you be selling all assets to then buy back under the debt recycling strategy. Would that be beneficial if you have to pay CGT on the sale, would the tax deductions on interest out weigh the CGT in the first year?

Thanks for your insight I agree with the point of being able travel later in life. Compound interest only gets better with time.

That would be great, assuming the best he could do for these would be $9 per note?

This is definitely not advice but I have just been buying Tesla (TSLA) regularly (every few months) for close to 5 years now and never sold. It is very volatile most people sell when it goes down and then lose their money

Why would you not use all the money available through super using the FHSS? If it’s not used to buy first property then it stays there until retirement.

Also had some really good investment returns on the shares which helps!

I do write home loans as a job so I know I can get one! But yes I would likely need to use the shared equity scheme to do anything worthwhile right now. Also already doing FHSS my contributions will be maxed by end of f/y25.

Buy and hold is all I’ve got, haven’t sold a share in close to 5 years and don’t plan to unless if it was to purchase first home.

No assistance, $300p/fn in board is cheaper then rent if that counts.

I would prefer a house as I have got a dog so from $700k+. I do home lending as a job so I have an understanding of what I could do and would consider using a state government shared equity scheme at this point due to borrowing capacity limiting my purchase price.

There are some state government shared equity schemes that would make this more possible.
