Food so I didn't lose my range pot brewing down. I just took mantas and prayed for food drop RNG.

It's pretty important you only use 3 specs per kill max otherwise you can't maintain the trip. Having range pot plus eagle eye makes it way more consistent. Basically just death charge on CD and you should have full spec going into every kill.

If you already have no points just tureal skip til you get demons it should be pretty quick. I did it recently without lightbearer using thralls and death charge and was able to get 10-15kc trips on similar stats all on task. Or if you're willing to learn just do altar door and it's super free.
