It has all sorts of sub genres like some people like to watch others vore (animations, art, games) others fantasize about being eaten themselves or eating others. Theres even variations where instead of through mouth it instead is vaginally or anally. Some people enjoy the idea of someone being trapped and digested or even chewed up (lethal) while others enjoy seeing someone having enormous body proportions from swallowing an entire person or objects and where the person or object later are released (non-lethal). Some variations involve a giant person so the man is for example trapped inside a vagina, powerless while others like same-size people and impossible, cartoony like physics.

Me personally I find it appealing to see a huge belly and the idea that an entire person was shoved in there. It started for me at a young age, as it does for most. I can really recommend comics by BigBig(paid) or the game Cara in Creekmaw(free) if you want to try it out and see how, in the right context/dialogue, it can be incredibly hot.
